    Hi all,

    Just wizzing in and out....

Flippin 60 plus in a class!!!! How the heck can the poor teacher be expected to teach a class of that size anything, I had problems keeping the attention of 3 of my kids at one time - its a flippin cheek - talk about setting people up to fail - hope things work out x

Thanks for the comments on the photo - I think I might need to loose a few LBs ( stone), but we are amazingly happy together and have been since day one ;)

Noticed a few mentions of wartime food - I have a passion for this too and love this website. http://recipespastandpresent.org.uk/wartime.php
    If anyones interested.

Have a fab day all x

TTFM that is an unacceptable class size, what the hell is the head teacher thinking!

Islandmaid my favourite wartime recipe blog is this one:

    Hi all :)

I've been AWOL for a few days, the countdown to school restarting has been keeping me very busy, and add DS1's birthday coming up on Thursday - well I'm rushing around!

I haven't had a chance to read through the last few days, but hugs to anyone who needs them and congrats to people with good news xx

Off to do more washing and polish DDs school shoes. Have a fab day all xx
  • Afternoon all,

Bad head today, think it's possibly because I strained my shoulder at Yoga last night (I'll never learn). Did some washing which I have now got in. It's been very warm but very dull here and not much wind either.

Took myself off to the Outlet centre and bought some clothes dye as I want to re vamp some navy linen trousers which are looking a bit dull. I am sure I will find a couple of other little bits to chuck in too.

TTFTM - I can't believe that class size. Apart from being a nightmare for the teaching staff, surely the children can't learn properly? It certainly isn't hard to see how the children with learning problems get lost in the system these days. Just out of interest what part of the country are you in?

DH and DS2 are off to Stevenage in a little while to watch football. Can't understand the attraction of driving for a couple of hours, watching men kick a ball about for 90 minutes and then spending another couple of hours getting back again...
At least I get to watch all the things I have lined up on catch up and eat what I want for dinner :)

    Happy Tuesday all.
  • Have only just got home due to crashes in both directions on the M62. Have loads more to say about DH and his job but I really need a big glass of wine and not a huge rant at the moment. I know it's not very OS but the wine was obtained free via survey points so I think it's allowed :o

Thanks everyone for supportive comments :A

It most certainly is allowed; and I think you deserve it. In fact, I do believe there's a bottle of Pinot Grigio with our names on it in the fridge, so I think we might be opening that shortly. Cheers!
Poor Mr LW had a tooth extracted today, and has been feeling a tad sorry for himself.
