Need a Washing Machine with Guarantee

Hi everyone.
My washing machine has broken down- after only 6 years of light usage (4 washes a week). Unfortunately my 5 year guarantee ran out just last year. I've had someone come and look at it and it will be cheaper to buy a new one then to get parts to repair it.
I'm on a very tight budget at the moment and was wondering if anyone can recommend any cheap machines preferably with at least two years guarantee? Is it cheaper to buy the guarantee separately?
I want a machine with a 7kg load, in a silver/graphite colour and with good economic efficiency.
All recommendations welcome.
Thank you.

Beko - we have had ours for a couple years, with heavy usage. It's economic, has every setting imaginable and is certainly at cheaper end of market compared with the likes of Bosch.

I have had a couple of Hotpoint machines. I got bored of the last one breaking down after seven years (my daughters socks getting into the filter actually) and did replace it with a much parge capacity machine (a godsend in hindsight), but the Hotpoint service team are actually very good indeed.
I bought a Hoover to replace it which was faulty from the word go. Their service department never even answered the phone over three calls so I had the manufacturer collect it. And I bought another Hotpoint on the basis that it had given five years of hard service without breaking and that the service team are efficient - I bought a five year guarantee with the machine. Outlay was about £350.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

To see what's been coming up
Check the manuals the weights and economy are for the 60 cotton wash and take 3 hours.
The standard mixed loads that you want done in an hour are smaller.0 -
get one from John Lewis? under their 'never knowingly undersold' policy you can get them to price match one you've seen on line but who also have a physical shop.
I had a Hotpoint which was already 5 years old when my now 14 year old was little it broke when he was 4, we bought another Hotpoint which broke after 2 years (and Hotpoint couldn't have cared less even though I said that with one load a day I expected it to last longer) switched to Bosch and replaced the workhorse about a year ago. It still does one or two loads a day (two boys and two bikers in our house) and going strong.
I went on this site to get advice about which machine would be suitable.

I still go back now to see how to fix minor faults with all my appliancesjust in case you need to know:

Bosch will have a 2 year warranty extension available. Or via JL as above.
It's always cheaper to buy extended warranties independently once the manufacturer's has run out, usually at half the price the retailers' charge.
But most white goods are very reliable if properly maintained, and you really don't need such cover. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I had a too small ( for us) beko. I did 3 to 4 washes a day with it til it broke at 3 years old.
Now got a much bigger machine, still beko but holds twice as much washing.
Its used 10 to 14 times a week.
I don't consider that heavy usage.63 mortgage payments to go.

I would have thought "light usage" would be once or twice a week. I suppose its all relative.0
