That is quite a difference there! Clearly, the supermarkets aren't always "about the same price" as one another.
It is a challenge finding any items that compare best against Sains at the moment (and where S price is itself quite good) as Sains is so expensive on nearly all of its "Basics" range, so have to be prepared to lose some pence here and some pence there on S/P items vs Sains on a Sainsbob comp. However, I will doubtless rise to that challenge!:D:rotfl:
The above price is, apparently, available until 23/9, so I treat as being 22/9 in case it goes off the website sooner. So it looks like this may be only for a couple of days, if the product goes back up in price on sains.co.uk or, possibly, up to nine days (from today) if it disappears off the website altogether(:T) and goes OOS. (Nine days from today assuming that it disappears from sains.co.uk in two days' time;).) Probably only a couple of days:(.
As for what to go onto a Sains comp., here are a few that I thought of immediately:
ASDA Smartprice Cheese Slices (10 per pack - 170g)50p N/A
ASDA Conference Pears (600g)57p N/A
ASDA Smartprice Brown Bread (800g)45p N/A
(This is in fact A S/P Wholemeal Bread that appears as "Brown Bread". The real Brown Bread which, in least in my area, is the one sold in shops of the "Supermarket" format, some of which are ex-Nettos, does NOT appear on the comp. and therefore is NOT the one you want.)
Doubtless I'll come back in an hour or two with some more items vs Sains.
Cheers  Was going to get some of these tomorrow anyway, so will happily test out.'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -

Finding lots of items, quite a few in the medicines shelf, with biggggg differences between S and A (Svs A) and some T and A too. Difficult to produce a list at the moment as not able to add them into same basket as Avs S and msm altered making it not as easy in this area. I'll have to go back and find them all again later:(. Also, before I forget - again not able to add these to lists 'as I go' and then come and give the final outcome once done - but have to go back and find them all separately, so mention them now - sorry not in any organised order:( - Tilda Rices are Avs W in 2s, and HP Pork Sausage Roll (130g) appears to be Avs S N/A (of course, user-friendly:mad:, now having to check again later when logged in to see if still says N/A) - probably going to miss out on Avs S actually - or T £1.00 vs A. But not as good at straight 50p or comparison vs N/A as Ploughmans Pickle version Avs T 50p.
Just for the supermarkets to appear to try to confuse you, but no suggestion that this is being done deliberately, in summary it's HP Ploughmans Pickle Sausage Roll Avs T, but Tomato Ketchup Pork Sausage Roll and Pork Sausage Roll Avs S N/A (allegedly) or T £1.00 vs A 50p.
Back later. Looking for Avs S at the moment, but Svs A (and possibly some Tvs A) probably to follow after that.0 -
