Are you ok Pleut? I haven't done much of anything today either. Got my hair cut and I'm not sure I like it and ruined some gluten-free cookies. So overall a bit poo.

Also starting to feel a bit scared of the new job. I know it will be fine but I always get nervous that I'm going to balls it up whenever I start anything new. At least I don't have to worry about people being mean to me on my first day I suppose :o :rotfl:

Halifax is near enough to have a little trip!

    :D:D:D:D

I had drawn a design that was curved metal with lights going off at each floor… OH just look at it and walked off!

    :D:D:D:D

Have you thought of wrought iron?

Strange how those are not the worst two, in my view, and the second of them I just find extremely extremely funny:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Some of them though, you do have to wonder whether there is anything sinister and whether the child who wrote them has experience of being sexually abused:(. Maybe I'm just thinking too deeply:eek: but, the odd one or two, you do wonder if the child has some inappropriate knowledge that comes from that (what they've written). The vast majority of them though, I'm sure they are 'innocent' (in one sense, although obviously not to us in another:rotfl:).:rotfl:

I really hate the c**t and the t**t word… they are totally banded for me.

Try not to worry about the kids, often we look too deeply into things and cause more problems.

I'm loving the music to the series Zag. I'd picked out white stripes and Nick Cave but there's some other bits that are driving me to distraction trying to name them:o

Edit.....I'm talking about Peaky Blinders and not Dr Who.......

There's been some good music on that. Some series play my kind of music! I enjoyed Teachers and Skins

I was thinking wrought iron or copper, but OH states we need to consider weight. I think he would be happy with down lighters on each floor.

He made the lights in out conservatory out of copper, he also make the light switch out of an old bell from a phone

Don't be. It's easy to misinterpret excitement as nerves. I always get "stage fright" when I meet my new classes every year but I soon get over it.

Remember that bio heater I was so happy about from the big b&q clearance?

    1035af6de8b0b20182feb3ee0ee1cbcf.jpg

It's been on sale in there since for £159

    I paid £31 for it :j

I know. Sometimes, when I've got things really cheap (or even sometimes merely on 'half price'), I've felt like going into the store and offering to sell the product back to them at much higher than what I'd paid, sure they could then sell it on for even more and still make a profit!:rotfl:
I've also felt like (but I've not done it of course:eek:) standing outside, or near to outside, the stores and trying to sell it to the general public at more than what I paid but undercutting the price the store now has it at!:rotfl::rotfl: Not any real 'big time' stuff - just stuff like soft drinks bottles that I paid about 80p for - trying to sell it outside to people at £1! Look, it's £1.68 in there! Do you want it from me? Only a quid - a bargain!!:rotfl::rotfl:

I think people would think I was very strange. Which is one, or in fact the only, reason why I've not actually done it, or even tried to! Maybe I ought to:think::rotfl::rotfl: (obviously not so close to the store, or actually on their premises, as to be able to be told to leave but...hmmm..perhaps that would need a street trader's licence?!?):rotfl::rotfl:

This is really good advice. You are probably a mix of excitement and nerves.

I have to say when I meet new clients I think what CRAP am I going to have to deal with now!!
