I can not donate due to my immune system but am so grateful to those that do. My dad is having weekly transfusions at the moment which could not happen except for the kind people that take time to donate.
My dd has joined the Bone Marrow doners list due to Dads illness. Unfortunately he is too old for a bone marrow transfer.

Neither I nor any of my family had never needed a transfusion until Dad became ill but Mum and step dad used to donate and dd does too.

To the fit and healthy please keep up the good work:T

    Seconded. :A

When my mum had the op on her spine at Southampton she had quite a big transfusion. Without the op we probably would not have seen her smile for another few years. She was one of the rarer blood types (RH-) so even if it was possible to donate for your own family I would not have been a match. Eternally grateful to those that donated for her. :A:A:A

    Good morning. :)
    What a wet wet day!!!!

Spent £30 on diatomaceous earth all round the garden so I'm not a happy bunny as now it will be ineffective.

Guess I'm gonna have to buy another 25 kilos... :(

Don't forget your free Lego today on the daily mail.

The daily telegraph are doing a good deal on free plant vouchers too I believe this weekend.
