Me too, my grandad was from the Orkney Islands. But I am a southerner now!IMO nakd bars are a better brand of health bar.
Also- love almond milk! A total revelation for me.
Yeah I agree the Nakd bars are pretty good ingredients wise. I only really like the choc/orange ones though.
Glad you like the almond milk. Did you try the sweetened or unsweetened?"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

Did you know that if you stroke someones bare skin while they're touching an ipad you can feel vibrations through your fingers. It's such a strange sensation :rotfl: It works if you stroke their back or arm but not the leg.
Edit I think they have to have their feet on the ground
I just need to find someone that has an ipad to stroke now, any offers??“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Well if they are quick once the builders have finished. I haven't been able to move anything in yet.

Oh:rotfl:, as some people were thinking I did the M list better - I assure you I do not:D - I have already updated the M list (some time ago) to reflect the 'results' of my Wednesday visit. I could give an update and mention everything(, or least some things) here - but I've written everything I was going to say onto the M list itself. So, it's all there!:):)
:rotfl::eek:Found a receipt earlier today, from a while ago, had forgotten about that - fortunately I had 'locked in' the information immediately after my shop - so, managed to claim the £6-odd APG result and get the voucher with extended expiry date (28 days from today).:T:T Phew!0 -

Evangeline, that is a very random thing to discover. Do you stroke many people whilst they use their iPads whilst their feet are on the floor!

Oh:) (expression of surprise). I didn't think Ms Sturgeon was irritating at all. In fact, someone on the 'No' side was being broadcast on the News earlier today - and I'm glad they then broadcast Ms Sturgeon - she took the words out of my mouth as to what I had been shouting (with no effect:D) at the television! And I've never been an SNP supporter or anything, though I suspect that is because I am from England. I think I just move around, depending on what my views on different issues are. And:ousually I'm a dithering, indecisive person, can see all sides - I can here but...for once I've made a decision!:T At last - Savvy not sitting on the fence (I think that's partly why some people thanked my post yesterday).
I certainly wouldn't have called them 'glory hunters' - there won't be much glory at all for them if the result is "No".
We agree to disagree there.
But -
You can be Scottish and British. You can be English (or Welsh or Northern Irish) and British. But, is anyone Scottish (or English etc.) and United King-ish?
(I think I'm trying to get at "The British Isles", as in the geographical area of the island that includes Scotland, England and Wales, will still exist - and you could argue that the "British Isles" covers the whole of Ireland as well. ("British Islands" includes Channel Islands and Isle of Man etc.) As regards "Britishness" though, to be fair the "British Empire" is long dead and "Britain" continues desperately clinging on to its own imagination that it punches any weight on the world stage. You can still be a "Brit" regardless of what independent countries exist within it.)
I consider myself to be both British and Scottish, and proud to be both. I don't want to not be Scottish and I have no choice but to be British, but I want to be anyway. If the worst happens I will apply for dual citizenship, which I'll be entitled to do.
Constitutionally that will be the only way to be both. It's not often I disagree with you Savvy, but I do on this. That's ok.....we can disagree
As someone who has spent most of their career working for the government in this country, I'd strongly disagree that we have no weight on the world stage. We do, in so many different areas. For our size we have a phenomenal defence service, we have some of the best free health care and research anywhere on the planet, we have a justice system that puts the majority of the world to shame. None of that is perfect by any means.....but if you look at the positives of it......we're not too shabby as we are0 -
