Hello peeps - hard keeping up lately but getting there.

Fairclaire thank you for the info re the discount scheme obviously come about after OH left so will look at that.

Enterprise for when the maple syrup runs out - best one is Costco but you need a big fridge once opened. (which we don't have - so use it quickly). http://www.costco.co.uk/view/product/uk_catalog/cos_6,cos_6.3,cos_6.3.8/644153
Goes well with blueberries instead of sugar for blueberry syrup for breakfast pancakes (see Nigella for recipe).

Re Vinegar and washing machines - don't know about cleaning machine qualities but discovered this tip when my kids were in terry nappies (I went all earth mother for a time lol). If you want soft terry towelling do not use fabric conditioner (has wax in so after time they become not soft). Instead use white vinegar (1 to 2 tablespoons) in the fabric conditioner section. May take a few washes to get other stuff out and no your washing doesn't smell of vinegar. So always used since and my towels are always nice and soft. Thanks Jumblejack I now know I can use malted vinegar.

Sending hugs to everyone and happy glitching.

Glad the crime commissioner for Rotherham has finally gone - wish he'd done it some time ago tho.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Afternoon all. Won't actually be off to Canada until next year but thank you for all of the hints and tips :D

I do need a laptop for my home office here but I don't know if I can justify a MacBook Air. I'm starting on Monday so terrible as it sounds I'll probably just buy one from Pc world or Currys. Unless anyone could recommend an alternative? I'm worried eBay will take too long and I really need to hit the ground running.
    Debt free 6th December 2014 :)

    Finally back from shopping :)
    Bubbs is an :A 10p a tub of bicarb in B&M :j :T
Bought one and if it's any good for what I need it for (it should be) I'll be back to stock up :D
Got my vinegar, just waiting for the limelite to finish off removing the lime scale from the detergent drawer slot.
Better have a quick catch up.
You can use vinegar for lime scale too
    ;)
