Cheapo brown malt vinegar works just as well at a fraction of the cost.

Tesco sell it in plastic litre bottles.

I use it for my cleaning too.

Naughty me, I forgot to say please and thanx!
Ooh didn't know that, always been taught to use white vinegar (plus the bicarb for slinging down my plug holes).
I'm all out of malt vinegar too at the mo so a big bottle would probably kill 2 birds with one stone :)
This washing machine is nasty, it's causing clothes to smell now when DH 'forgets' to empty the machine

Very bizarre scene in the vets yesterday afternoon.
We followed an older couple in and the lady was holding a tabby cat close to her. Quite rightly the senior receptionist said that they could lend a cat box if the couple don’t have one as the vets could not be responsible if your cat suddenly did a runner down the road.
The lady said though the cat hated cat boxes and refused point blank to go into one. Anyway though he was a cat brought up with dogs and they didn’t bother him whatsoever. So the lady sat one chair away from someone holding their Pekinese dog which was so tiny in comparison to the tabby.
The vets was full. There were 7 dogs there varying from big Labradors to the tiny Pekinese, all very well behaved dogs, just sat waiting, a suppose in their own personal hell at being taken to the vets, all dogs taking no notice whatsoever of each other and not one of them took any notice of the tabby cat who sat cradled in his mums arms

I use the big bottles for loads of things:windows, killing red mite, floors, leave in conditioner in a spray bottle, sinks, surfaces.

    The list is endless.

The white vinegar is a load of fancy schmancy nonsense.

    Vinegar is vinegar. :D

Ebay, £3-400 or so. You pay silly money for new macs and this is MSE. BUt I bet they're a lot chepaer in Cnaada. In fact I'd take no luggage (except brown sauce which is North America's fatal missing ingredient) and buy luggage to fill with everything that's cheaper there. Which is probably everything.:)

Not everything is cheaper in Canada! But be warned the maple syrup fudge is to die for :D We brought back a litre of the proper maple syrup, the sort that does not go off like the stuff you get over here does. I have to search DD every time she leaves here to make sure she is not smuggling it out, it is absolutely gorgeous :D

Have you tried Lidl for the bicarb? Hope you are not putting both of them together

By the way, bicarb is cheapest in bulk on eBay. :)

I use that a lot too for cleaning :)

One funny thing - we had a bottle of vinegar that I thought I had lost, turned out it had been sitting on DD's windowsill, it was brown when it went up there, it is now sitting in the cupboard and is no longer brown :D Vinegar is vinegar is vinegar.
