Thats the pits , I was like that with that terrible toothache in the summer, so tired I just wanted to cry.

    Hope it passes :(

    Good on your lad. :T

Thanks Bananababe, not sure why I'm sleeping so badly, think its a combination of lots of things. On holiday my bladder played up lots so was up lots in the night, and this is only just starting to settle. Next door have builders in, most mornings its 8 they start, but one morning it was 7.30. They've even been here this weekend, including today, which I wasn't expecting. Friday night there was a group of drunk kids out just as I was going to bed, even when they moved from this street they were so loud I could hear them from quite a long way away! I guess stress about whether I'll be allowed back to work, which seems to have been resolved now but was still a worry. And then the overall stress of what is going on with my bladder, consultants appointment not until 23rd October so still a little while to wait until I find out what the plan is.

I just want a decent nights sleep where I fall asleep quickly, then stay asleep!

My Youngest was a pot boy in a local hotel from the age of 16. He applied for the job himself and even walked to the interview even though it is 5 miles away - we didn't even know this at the time.
When the weather was bad we drove him for his shifts to and from but mostly he went on his bike and we got a phone call before he set off for home so we knew he was on his way. Mostly he was home by midnight but whatever time it was I waited up for him.
He did do a few shifts setting up tables but mostly it was kitchen work and he loved it - making order out of chaos.
The chefs also trained him to do some prep work so he could do things like making industrial sized amounts of coleslaw
He did weekend work and in the holidays and they were very good - allowing him to be away for weeks when he had work experience.
it was minimum wage but the big draw was the free food - he got to eat a lot of restaurant type food and meals so he was eating fabulous meals every weekend!
He was there for 5 years until he left uni and went up north.

He did get a job over the summer, but it was one of these zero hour contract things in a soft play place. He only had about 4 shifts, and they seem to have forgotten about him and not given him any more, so he was keen to find something else. This is about 5 miles away and he will cycle quite often I think, although with winter round the corner I will happily take him if the weather is awful. Its good as its in the same village where his Dad is, so when he is there every other weekend he will still be able to get there (his Dad is a pain about anything and everything so nice not to have to rely on him for anything). Anyway, hopefully this is the start of a regular weekend shift.
