I can’t sleep. I’m upset about the dogs at Manchester dogs home, amongst other things. I’m not normally controversial but I really need to get a few things off my chest and quite honestly I don’t care if it offends anyone because I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinions. Someone asked if we’ve got our priorities our right. Who is to decide if humans are more important than animals? Isn’t it upto each individual to decide if they would like to donate to animal or people charities. Me personally, I care more about animals and would rather help them than people. That doesn’t mean I don’t care about people. I get upset also when I hear that bad things have happened to people. However it saddens me to see that people rarely choose to donate to animal charities on TV programmes when they have a choice of charity. The only celebrity I’ve ever seen donate to animals is Simon Cowell, he always helps dogs.

I never donate to medical research charities because the money is used to fund animal experiments which do nothing to help humans. I don’t intend to get into a debate about this but it’s something I feel very strongly about and I spent several years researching this so I know what I’m talking about.

Also I’d like to point out that many people have tough lives and suffer abuse but they mostly don’t then decide to commit acts of atrocity against other living beings, and I don’t see how this would give them a licence to do so. I really don’t think that the person who burned those poor dogs has a hope of becoming a reasonable human being who is not a threat to others and therefore he should be removed from society forever IMO. The softly softly approach doesn’t work. We released John Venables back into society and he went on to hurt more people. He never should have been released.

I hope that people post the name of the monster who killed those dogs on social media. I’m sure they will, and I’ll be glad when someone delivers appropriate justice for the little b*****d, as you can be sure the law won’t punish him adequately

Rant over, I’ll go try get some sleep now!

Well said Evangeline :T:T:T:T Your post definitely hasn't offended me quite the opposite :)

I hardly slept Thursday night thinking allsorts about the poor dogs :A

Hope you managed to have a good nights sleep.

Simon Cowell :T:T:T I have also seen a few others donate to animal charities. One of the Made in Chelsea girls on million pound drop last night donated to Battersea Dogs Home :T:T:T

  • Good morning :)

It is going to be a busy day as I'm babysitting my brother's 1 year old twin boys from lunch today until tomorrow morning so have to go round baby proofing the house this morning. And the grass needs cutting ....

    Have a good day all.

  • Good morning all. Cloudy day but will clear up.

Heading into Camberley soon for the start of the stage of the Round Britain Tour. At least I think I will, road closures make it a bit complicated even on a push bike! Ironic that, struggling to figure out how to get in there and park my bike to watch a bike race :D
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
