Re handcuffs: not coming until next week according to amazon, no doubt DS will be champing at the bit fo them tomorrow. I will have to make him some out of cardboard or something yikes:)
Oh he's not that far away.....Liverpool. So he does come home for the odd weekend. I just like having him hereNot in a possessive mummy way or anything
:rotfl::rotfl:
Oh dear......I hope he doesn't get too impatient. Just explain that next day delivery costs lots of pennies
It's amazing what you can make out of stuff when needs must. When DS2 was a toddler he had a bob the builder figure that was surgically attached to him! Bob needed a bathroom so.......empty shoe box. The bath was an empty mini Jaffa cakes tub, with an overhead shower made from a straw. The loo was an empty yoplait yogurt tub and a sink made out of a no7 eyeshadow box sat on top of a no7 mascara box:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: He loved it

Indeed. On Tuesday night it rose a bright orange as it picked up the colour of the setting sun.“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.” ~ Ferris Bueller0 -

"Cooking, ironing, taking a shower or bath, washing, turning on the central heating or simply breathing - all these household activities create moisture. • Wallpaper peeling off, blistering paint, mould and mildew patches etc.
• Condensation and lingering bad smells around the house
• Damp in your home
• The feeling of being cold or having a cold on a regular basis
• General allergies and joint problems
• Dust mites

Hi all.
Could one of you advise me please.
I've seen a flat for £60K. It's 2 bed and is on the 2nd floor. I've been to see it and quite like it, but the service charge is giving me the willies. Last year it was almost £2K and I know the service charge can vary and can either go up or down. What do you guys make of that? Yay or nay? Please and thanks to anyone who can help. I'm a first time buyer and knowing how thick I am, I know I would make the wrong decision if it was left to me.:(:(
Ask to be provided with evidence of how the service charge is split. Like how much was paid for lighting, lifts, decorating communal areas and how much saved as contingency fund. These recordsnwill be available for the last year. Also find out if it is a co operative run block of flats or agent run. Co operative gives you a greater say.
For 2k a year I think I would want secure gated parking as well.
My friend lives in nice newish block (he has been there 6 years from new) he has seen his service charge rise steeply and the money not spent on basic communal maintenance.
All this shouĺd be available for you to view at the estate agents.
As I live in the south £60 k for a 2 bed fkat sounds really good. Even if you do not own a car a designated parking space will make it easier to sell on later.
