    Afternoon all!

I've just tried to check VO but I can't see what's available voucher-wise as I've not currently got enough credit. They are well known for running out of Amazon vouchers though, it happens a lot because they're probably the most popular option. Complaints usually start appearing on FB rather rapidly though, so maybe keep an eye on there?

I've just been offered the job I interviewed for 2 weeks ago :o
Not sure whether to take it or not, as it's only £1.5k more, but I'd save loads in petrol money and not having to travel 45 mins each way. They're also offering loads of other perks (health care, good contributory pension, small annual bonus and 25 days holiday), but I wouldn't get to take bank holidays with hubby and I think the job would be really high pressure, whereas I'm allowed a fair amount of freedom in my current role. It's also 6 hours more per week, which kind of cancels out the pay rise. I'm so confused with it all! :(

    Very difficult question.

Mind you, you save the 90 mins a day in travelling time so that's more than the extra 6 hours working. Also there is the petrol saving and wear and tear on the car.

What about parking - is it free at both jobs? If you need a parking permit at either factor that in as well.

Bank holidays are nice if the weather is good and you have something nice planned but is that always the case?
In theory if you attach at least one of your allotted holiday weeks holidays onto a bank holiday weekend then you only use 4 of your 25 days instead of 5.

It's giving me a nice warm feeling (no, not there - cheeky:p) thinking of the glitch monkeys enjoying reading this (and before the muggle readers get a chance, too) ... tell us what you think of the book:)

Thank you jelly, I must have seen your post and clicked on it as I too got a copy of the book. :T

Thanks for replying, it's easier to see it written down than going round in my head!

I'd probably save about 35 mins each way actually, I forgot to count that it'll take 10 to get to the new job. Parking is free in both, so no need to consider that cost.

I would actually get bank holidays, just different ones, as I'd be working with non-UK customers so I get some of their bank holidays instead of ours. I'm also slightly frustrated about Christmas as my place shuts down so I get 2 nice long weeks off, whereas I could be working Christmas Eve and Boxing Day at the new job, especially as the new girl I'd probably get last dibs on popular days off.

It would also mean no more Elite lurking, as everything I do will be monitored at the new place, unlike now, so I'll have to factor that cost in too!

Sounding like a lot of negatives for the new job Arthien....especially the last point

Sounds a bit like your mind is almost made up??

Am sure you will make the right decision, I would go with where I thought I would be happiest and I think you said that the new job was quite high pressured, not sure the extra money would sell it to me.

Just my two penneth :D Hope you don't mind :o
