Work has been rather hectic and carp Sometimes I am stuck for a week in what is a converted cupboard no daylight and no company other days its busy and I get out to other stores.
I am going to try and save a bit more after the holiday. Booked yesterday for a cruise to celebrate our 40th anniversary Greek Islands with Thomsons0 -
Good grief. We've just had someone knock on the door with a letter. Was for my sister from a private hospital she went to last week. The address on the front was wrong as was her name and there was no return address. So the guy opened it and saw one mention of our address inside that was accurate, bought it over. This letter was full of intimate medical details and was sent to someone else. Her surname is wrong over both the bill and the letter and they called her Mrs. She's not married.
So now some stranger down the road knows what medical problems my sister has. Brilliant. She's away at her boyfriends' but I just called her and she's fuming.
Do people not proof-read anything anymore? Honestly. For something so sensitive too....

We'd get hung, drawn and quartered if we did that
She needs to complain. There'll be a manager or PALS type service at the private hospital who she can approach. Ah the grapes again!:( And the Nestle mousses!
That other comp. there, though, really done you out vs M.
The two different Frijjs haven't picked up the 2 for £2 mix and match at M:(. The Fudge Brownie, by itself, has picked up the mbuy but they bought an odd number and the odd one hasn't picked it up with the Banana Milkshake.
And the milk as well:(! They've not even picked up the Semi-Skimmed milk in M in Wales at all:( and therefore, due to that failing at first hurdle, let alone picking up a full price, and then let alone identifying an mbuy price (and not just that but in conjunction with another item, namely the Skimmed), three - or even four - hurdles and failed at first one, the Skimmed stood no chance of getting any mbuy price allowance as the Semi-Skimmed wasn't even picked up:(. Just quite hopeless aren't they really? Although - sometimes that works in other matters very well in our favour. Should have been vs £3.00+£1.39 for M across the total 4 milk bought.
Oh - _pale_ and the Paracetamol caplets as well.:( Not even picked those up either.
I can't really say much more.
These results however are from shopping from yesterday, I doubt that has much bearing on what may or may not be in yesterday's price collection - I don't even know if that is in the system yet: if it isn't, it should be at some point tomorrow.0 -

It must be a hospital and letter combination. Day after I had op I went in for a check up, and consultant said I'd have a letter in the post detailing what drops I had to take and how much, as if I had a problem at the weekend I'd have to go to another hospital. Anyway I was still a bit out of it, so forgot all about the letter. 5 weeks later I went back and the consultant asked if I'd had the letter, which I hadn't. Turned out it had been typed out but nobody printed or sent it .
The bad part aswell was after 2 weeks one set of my drops ran out, I rang up to ask if I needed more and the nurse on the phone said no, and the other drops I was taking should be reduced down from 4 to 3 to 2 to 1 to none over the next 2 weeks. I wasn't happy with that so I ignored his directions on reducing the drops but didn't get new drops to replace the other ones as directed. The consultant said if I'd have reduced the drops then the eye would have rejected the transplant  so was very lucky. He said I should have had more drops to replace the other ones but that was more for comfort so no damage done.0 -
Savvybuyer wrote: »Hi. Unfortunately, you can wonder on. I don't usually keep track of the smaller bottles as they are usually very poor value. The COS might change that however. I think they are/have been some 500ml bottles of soft drinks type things - I doubt it's these flavoured waters - on 59p each. Could be thinking of the wrong thing as I said I don't keep track of these ordinarily. I don't think you'll get cheaper than 2 for £1 - I don't know if M even stock them and, if they do, I think they'll be more expensive. Sorry I'm not much help am I?:o:rotfl::( I'll have a look out for them tomorrow.
Yes I agree they are poor value compared to the bigger bottles but when combined with the 60p off from cos they are good value as work out at 20p each when bought in Tesco anyway.0
