It was me mentioned the duvet sets at the weekend. I seen the same duvet cover in two different packages for £2.50 and £10 (robots).
Also got an Intex inflatable boat last week reduced to £19. Last night it was reduced again to £9.50! Bought another one and taking the original back.:D
The gardening stuff has also been reduced again. Got tubs of Deadfast weedkiller for £4.50. Two antbait traps 75p. 2.5L of cleaner to remove algae etc off patio for £2.50.
Anyone seen any patio magic stuff while browsing the gardening stuff. I have a £10 coupon to use up by december, plus need some grass seed anyhow. Every supermarket I have been to have sold out

This is my shop from Sunday mainly for cashback items which I did to use up some small value APGS.
If I had done this shop in Tesco I would have got 14 clubcard points and it would have cost me nearly a fiver more - possibly I would have got the fiver back as a TPP but then Id have had to find something else to spend a fiver on so I thought I might as well do the simpler option and get everything in Asda.
I also got some of the 10p canned tomatoes in Asda and put them straight in the foodbank trolley (these never show on the APG machine)

I;m "working from home" today, waiting for a workman to give me a quote.
But OH has gone to work leaving his phone here. And hes in a one week temp contract I dont know where. A different agency are trying to get in touch with him re a job interview for a temp maybe to perm job.
Argghhh
He's getting so dispondant with job searching, had so many interviews but not got the jobs. Had second interview on one last week, but then it was given to someone else.
Sent him an email, but he hasnt replied yet, may not be able to access personal emails from where he is.
Oh well. it will have to wait until he gets home:hello: The grass is not greener, it just looks that way from a distance :hello:0 -
I've had a limited edition proof copy of the new Nick Hornby 'Funny Girl' arrive this morning - does anyone who does comps remember this as a prize from somewhere - I am wondering if I am supposed to read and review it for somebody.
If I keep it for reading when we are away I won't get it finished, huge thick paperback and we are only away for a week.
Anyway first win for ages, need to get my butt into gear.
Postie just delivered me one of these too. On the envelope, instead of my name it says Freelance. Bizarre!0 -
Had to ring school this morning, DS2 came home with maths homework last night to be handed back in today.
He has had extra help at school and home for the last 2 years, as is really struggling, he has just started at high school, for the last few years at primary he was falling way behind, didnt help with the teacher had, luckily she got the sack as had been marking a lot of childrens work as correct and was actually wrong, so he had been falling behind quite a lot and it had not been noticed at school for a long time.
Everytime he bought homework home, it used to take him so long to do it and the arguments that we had over it was awful. The poor thing was struggling that much that he couldnt ask for help as thought he would get into trouble.
We have had alsorts of tests done and his current maths level is age 6 and 7 months. So was not happy last night when he came home with homework with the kind of questions like:-
find all the prime numbers to 20
all the factors of 24
and the square routes.
The poor lad had no idea on where to start, as not covered these at primary with how far behind he is, he has had to go back to basic sums and number lines.
Now awaiting on reply from his teacher, as I have been up to the school before he finished primary to make sure that everything would be in place for him to have the extra help and the right work sent home, as I dont want him struggling any more than he has had to, and certainly dont want him to start hating maths lessons again, as its taken a lot of time and energy with his extra tutor to start enjoying it.
Sorry for the rant.0 -
Overall, it's just for a neurotypical population that are influenced by advertising a lot more than I am, are sheep, and are captivated by branded products (and who are prepared to pay the "brand tax" that retailers view is applied to them).
EDIT: :oSorry to go on about autistic vs NT. As you know, the term "NT" is one that I myself think is inaccurate, and anyway I am only making a point that maybe there is something there...? The intention isn't to create divisions between autistic and NT. Moving on...

Didn't we get those Dolmios recently at about 9p each with price glitch?
Now, that is a small price!:D
We are "glitch loving" - and there's nothing "barmy" about going for that 9p price at all:money:. We are the "real bargain" hunters.0
