That's exactly how I felt at getting 10p CB from Quidco to do an online shop recently.......10p  it seemed so insulting :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

I've rubbed out the name of the film, so you can try and guess if you want:)
When my children used to watch Postman Pat, I used to get frustrated as the commentator would say about how kind he was…. by taking a loaf of bread to Granny Drydon.
What they missed off, was that he left her home alone in an isolated farm house in 5 foot of snow….. which I think was not kind or acceptable!!:p:p

Indeed, I found one of old Elite threads a few days ago, when trying to find this thread (typically, the search engines are now only finding this thread). It linked back onto this - obviously this is very old, so "Tesco Price Promise" there is referring to the DTD refund for instore overcharges compared to what the SELs/POS promotional material say:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=3311163&postcount=2062
It relates to the long-since-gone R&R, but the same principles apply to DTD these days - interesting, and I wish perhaps I'd seen this when I started here on the Elite threads. Maybe it should be back on the first page?
"...ask yourself ‘Is this something I really need?’...– do you really need the wrongly priced Tesco Value Birthday card?":rotfl::rotfl:
"...treat the staff how you wish to be treated – polite & calm even in the face of potential adversity - keep your profile low, not too much eye contact – you don’t want to be a memorable character because you want to come back!":o:o(:rotfl:)As for 'too much eye contact', I make virtually no eye contact at all:o (not through my own fault but because, unlikely nearly everyone, whose eye contact is automatically and naturally made, the segments of my brain that light up in the vast majority of people when they see human faces almost certainly do not light up in mine (I am only "almost certain" because I have never had a brain scan to prove this for absolute certain, but it is almost certain)) - I would have to think actively about making eye contact and I do not - and my lack of eye contact probably comes across as suggesting I'm being shifty? (Which is the complete opposite of the truth.)
"Not too much eye contact" perhaps implies "some eye contact, but not too much", in other words, not appearing to be shifty and making no eye contact but not staring them out and being too forceful? (I don't know - I've no clue about this area:o:rotfl::rotfl:. Nor need I have - I have far more important things to sort out, for me and all you here...:) So that issues of eye contact, and what is or isn't appropriate eye contact, need not trouble this Asperger:D, and that is why I am an Asperger!:j Brain made to be a repository of information - and hopefully lots of information about glitches:D:rotfl:. Not there to make stupid pointless eye contact and try to make social relationships:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.)
"If you go to the same store ... you will become familiar to some CS staff – scope the store when you go in – pretend to look at newspapers or other goods whilst working out who is on duty – try to avoid CS staff who know you and have hassled you in the past – check the CS desk again before you buy in case there has been a shift change.
Try the weekends – mix it up a bit – go after 1930 and you will find different staff – Saturday evenings means you will probably get part-time CS staff - if you have the means go to different stores – if you are after groceries use Metro and Express Stores – use the Tesco web-site to find all the stores closest to you."0 -

I try that TM but I usually have to go back where I started to jog my memory.
Good exercise going up and down the stairs twice. :rotfl:0 -
