We arrived at airport in Canada on Thursday to find our flight with aer lingus cancelled due to operational reasons, they couldnt put us on another flight because we had booked through a travel company and it was showing up in there system we hadnt paid for are tickets, so were told to get in touch with travel com,as it was middle of night in Ireland they put us in hotel. The next day back at airport they told us the next available flight with aer lingus was in two days (Sunday) arrive in Dublin Monday we both had work on Monday. The travel com had reserved seats for us 2 adults 1teenager 1 child on a air canada flight which was leaving that night , but aer lingus had to authorise it which they did, I haven sent an email to aerlingus they acknowledge it but havent heard anything else .Do you think we should get compensation?
