Bridesmaid Dresses Too Small

If you want t fight this then first , do not have any alterations made tot he dresses. That may mean buying others due to timescale.
Call into the shop and check what was ordered against the measurements taken- I assume you checked the measurements taken were correct an math the girls' current sizes.
That way you will establish if the wrong size was oredered or maybe the wrong sizes were sent.
You also need to check what was intended. While normal practice is to order next bigger size is that what the shop does?
You only said the they would order the nearest size- that could be a smaller size rather than a bigger size.0 -
Thanks Rustyboy21, unfortunately only 50% of my daughters was paid on her credit card £95, no luck there then.
With time being short the girls are allowing their seamstress to go ahead with the alterations, no time to buy from anywhere else, the other girl is in Birmingham. The seamstress is confident that she can let them out enough. My daughter is still going to pursue her complaint to the shop.0 -

It really doesn't matter how much of the purchase price was paid by the credit card.
As long as the purchase price of the item was over £100, then Section 75 of The Consumer Credit Act will apply.
Have a look at MSE's Section 75 Refunds article.
Here's a short quote from it:...you get the protection for the whole cost of an item or service, even if you only pay for a part of it on credit. The only condition is that what you're buying costs more than £100 and less than £30,000.0 -
Thanks wealdroam, I did have a quick look at that section but obviously didn't read enough. I will pass this info onto my daughter.0
