Hi my daughter is due to start uni in London in a few weeks, she is not moving to London but planning to commute from outside London (outside greater London too), she will be getting the train into London as necessary and then the tube to her uni, she is planning on applying for a 16-25 railcard, is there anything she can do to make tube travel cheaper? she doesn't appear to be eligible for a student oyster card as she doesn't have a London term time address, please correct me if I am wrong on this. Any help or advice is much appreciated, thanks.

Ask the university - they will have the best local information for their students.0

You can get the 16-25 Railcard discount applied to an Oyster card if you go to a ticket office with your railcard. The 1/3 off will only apply to off-peak fares though.0

Helix, does that apply if you don't have a London term time address?, that would be very useful.
Thanks to all for the helpful replies0 -
I don't think it does. I have a disabled persons railcard which is applied to my oyster card. I have never been asked for my address, apart from when I needed to get an oyster card.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
