Had to record it as my daughter had cooked a roast dinner, so catching up now. So far not impressed by idea of one mp praising the PPC who charges less than hospital trusts.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Heather Wheeler just slammed PE at Burton Hospital and made a superb speech
looking quite good overall with various comments but generally I agree with the comments made by these MP,s
ps:- Guy Opperman talking about getting rid of PE at hexham (or northumberland ?)0 -

Government spokesweasel refers to "fines" and "penalties"!Je suis Charlie.0

Says hospitals will be expected to take action against rogue contractors, and contracts should not be awarded on a basis which incentivises "penalties".
So that'll be all of them then.Je suis Charlie.0 -

good to see my local MP waxing lyrical about it, no wonder he was happy to receive my emails with relevant information from other members on here
lol
good to see them all coming together on the issues, despite not seeming to have the powers of enforcement as yet, they also mentioned the guidelines refresh to be coming in about 6 months time, so just before the elections
the very fact they debated it shows what an impact people are having when they pressurise their MP,s and good to hear some of them talking about how they have altered parking policies locally and also the issues raised about PE in particular like the ones with the problem hospitals and the ones who are kicking out PE
as the lady said, it wastes the MP,s time, the CEO of the local hospitals time, the patients time , in fact everybodys time0 -

The Department of Health's Guidance also refers to fines - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/nhs-patient-visitor-and-staff-car-parking-principles/nhs-patient-visitor-and-staff-car-parking-principles0 -

I know who you are talking about now. Took 5 interruptions before I managed to finish watching debate. This is the first parliamentary debate I have ever seen.
A lot of congratulations to the "OP" for getting issue debated. Isn't that their job?
And as for spoke weasel he needs to learn a few facts.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking.
