    Thanks guys :)
Finally have an OUT - it was an oldie from Boots Aromatherapy lavender calming handcream. Can't remember buying it but did like it, so would PBA but not any time soon (as have lots and lots in my stash)
    :)

Asset, sorry about the job too, I hope that the right job for you comes along very soon, wafting lots of positive thoughts your way:)

First UU's for September (don't think that there will be many though:()

Sally Hansen Instant cuticle remover (blue bottle) WBA, but have others to use first.
150ml Faith Natural Body Lotion, bought 2 in half price sale so have another to open, but WBA

    IN
Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads - my guru Beauty Mouth recommended that I try these (she answered a comment on her blog:D:D), I just happened to see that these were on half price offer at Feel Unique so pounced:). I will wait until spending less time outdoors before using. This allergy problem I keep having leaves me looking very wrinkly after the redness and flakiness go, up 'til now I had been so pleased with how good my skin is for my age:(

Oh now WHY did I have to read that?!

Don't get too excited as it's the L'occitane shampoo and conditioner on offer. Unless you get excited about shampoo and conditioner that is.

Speaking of L'Occitane have a UU : 30ml tube of L'Occitane Lavender hand cream. My fave. Have full sized one in the stash along with other minis and other lotions at the go on my desk and at home so probably won't be opening this any time soon. No need to purchase any hand cream/lotion for the foreseeable future.

thanks for the thread :T I'm back again for this month. :o
So disappointed heard today an interview I'd had almost 2 weeks ago that I was unsuccessful. I'd felt so positive afterwards, and had very positive feedback from the questions throughout the interview. I was getting apprehensive as I hadn't heard from them but still disappointing.
Back to the drawing board. :(

Sorry to hear this asset. Try and keep positive though. x

Elemis Illuminating Flash serum/balm - WBA really loved this. I think it worked better than Clarins Flash Beauty Balm. I still have one to finish off but I want to try my newish Pucka replenishing serum first.

    !

I think the Elemis balm is better than Clarins too and also have a few tubes. Not sure I would buy it again once they are gone though as I don't really think my skin needs it.

Meant to add that I painted my nails again the other day and am loving my new OPI Thank Glogg It's Friday colour. I don't actually have one like it! In the bottle at first it looked red then when I took it out of the packaging (gift box) it looked like a shimmery fuschia. Now that I'm wearing it it looks like a bright wine colour if that makes sense. Very lovely. x

Hello all, back again. I'm not sure if I even posted on the August thread. Real life took over, I was very busy and some stuff was quite heavy to deal with, all OK now though. It wasn't me that was undergoing the heaviest burdens but I was closely involved.

I didn't fall off the wagon though. Things have been used up that were on the PP list -shower gel, foot cream. I've not bought a thing other than an IN of A!di facial wipes.

LHJ UU :j :j of 500ml of Pantene 2 in 1 anti dandruff shampoo. I've had this for over a year, I swear, it was gifted to me as unloved.
    WIB?
No. It was fine, cleaned and conditioned but basically I never have dandruff and haven't in years. I am now down to two shampoos, one an Avon 2 in 1 and the other an Avon Moroccan Oil. Given that I've not had an Avon order for about six months if not a lot longer, these have been around a long time too.

  • Hello! I'm IN for this month. I actually had an unusual amount of UU last month but wasn't up to posting. That means that I'll probably have a slow September UU wise but I want to keep up with the thread as it makes me happy :)

Wondercollie - are you feeling a little better/happier now? It's good to see you posting.

Fiasco - EEEEEK! to your terrible week. What a relief that things improved...

Asset - I'm very sorry to hear that you missed out on the job. I like what Fiasco said - "what's for you won't go by you!" I've never heard that before :)

Peut - hello! Nice to see another newbie :) I seem to be unusual in that I do finish lip balms but it's a rare occurrence as I have so many on the go! :rotfl: I always finish the Nuxe Reve de Miel stick version, anything by Burts Bees, my new HG of the Malin + Goetz Lip Moisturizer and a Paul & Joe lipbalm that was a joy to use but I found that my OH had adopted it and used about 2/3rds of it up without realising that it was special :wall: I also finish any Elizabeth Arden 8 hour creams/stick but that takes years! :rotfl: Sadly I have a bag full of not-very-good lip balms to work my way through :(

maddiemay - how amazing to get a reply/recommendation from CH! :D I hope that the peel pads work out for you. I would be v impatient to get going with them but you're being v sensible to wait in order to minimise sun exposure.

Hello mcculloch :waves: I'm sorry to hear that you/those around you had a difficult August. I'm impressed that you didn't fall off the wagon despite the stress.

VALM - your holiday sounded amazing :)

Right. I'm off to find/type up my UU/IN list for August and then I'll be all set for the month ahead.

    Good luck everyone!
  • August INs

I succumbed to the brilliant Regis offer. Luckily I had just finished a Weleda shampoo & conditioner so have moved straight onto the Paul Mitchell Intense Moisture set which I'm enjoying so far.

    INs

Tigi Catwalk Root Boost Spray 250ml
Paul Mitchell Extra Body Finishing Spray 250ml
    DESIGNLINE Reactive Style Refresher 200ml
Wella Sp 24 Remove Lotion 125ml
Tigi Bed Head Moisture Maniac Moisturising Conditioner 250ml
DESIGNLINE Cashmere Kera-Forte Fortifying Sealant 125ml
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum 25ml
Paul Mitchell Instant Moisture Caper Bag x 2 (so that's 2x Instant Moisture Shampoo, Instant Moisture Conditioner and Worked Up Hairspray)

That's a lot when it's all listed!

I also bought an unused American gift set in a charity shop that I'm really happy with. It had a candle and a soap (the soap might be regifted as it's very prettily packaged) so the only real IN is the Creme D'Amande Luxurious Almond Lotion. Body lotions are a problem area for me so this was definitely unnecessary! The whole set was only £3 (it's made by Mudlark Luxe & seems to have v natural/good ingredients) and I'm using the lotion and candle right away (I needed cheering up and adore almond scented things.)

Dr Darren McKeon AHA Active Radiance Cleanser x 3 via eBay as it's my HG and discontinued (see below)

OUTS *deep breath* (there are 26! I'll try to keep the reviews snappy :o)

    WBA

Weleda Ginger & Rosemary Shampoo (250ml)
Weleda Ginger & Rosemary Conditioner (250ml)

Sadly discontinued but I'd snap them up if I came across them again.

Dr Darren McKeon AHA Active Radiance Cleanser (150ml) - this is my HG. I went without it for only two weeks and my skin had a massive rebellion. I was relieved to find it on eBay at a v good price. I think I have seven bottles in stock now! It's the only morning cleanser that has ever made a difference to my skin. (My evening HG is Elemis ProCollagen Cream Cleanser but I can use other things without incurring a skin rebellion.)

REN Photoactive Sun Veil SPF 15 (3ml sample) - I might buy this next summer as it's very light and doesn't upset my skin (rare for an SPF)

Lavera Basis Sensitive Hand Cream (20ml) - I like this and have more in the stash

    WNBA

Bliss Lemon & Sage Soapy Suds (a whopping 473ml) - so disappointing! Bought as a bargain but not worth the money. Used up as a hand wash. More in the stash, sadly...

Snowberry Remineralising Toner (100ml) - not a toner at all but a bizarre face wash :rotfl: Bought in a sale but normally v expensive so WNBA

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (5ml) - so glad I had a sample of this. No good so I'm going to make my own

REDKEN Colour Extend Radiant 10 (30ml) - made no difference to my hair (although my hair is uncoloured it claimed to improve 10 things in total...)

Gatineau Melatogenine AOX Probiotic (15ml) - too rich so used up on my neck

Korres Wild Rose Moisturiser (10ml) - made my skin oily so UU on neck. More of these to work through :(

REN Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser (30ml) - probably the only facial skincare from REN that I've ever been disappointed in. No better than other HC cleansers. Glad I had a magazine freebie to try :)

NUXE Anti Fatigue Moisturizing Eye Cream (15ml) - no improvement noticed so WNBA (usually love NUXE)

MAC Prep & Prime Skin Refiner (15ml?) - too expensive and too 'fierce' in the way it mattifies

No 7 Stay Precise Felt Tip Liner - not v black and v dry. Maybe a dud one but I wouldn't risk BA

Bumble & Bumble Quenching Leave In Conditioner (125ml) - an expensive mistake that did nothing for my hair.

Max Factor Experience Sheer Lip Balm 07 - TA as it's drying and tastes awful (may have been off but I never liked it)

L'Occitane Immortelle Precious Cream (3ml) - too expensive and nowhere near as good as the Divine Cream for my skin.

Biotherm Skin-Ergetic Overnight (15ml) - an old sale buy. Nothing special.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel (7ml) - WNBA as it's quite boring :rotfl: Have other, larger samples in the stash

Dead Sea Source De-Stress Ginger Body Souffle (350ml) - really lovely scent and a real stash relic but I'm glad it's gone.

Clinique DDML (30ml) - used up on my neck. WNBA but would use again as a freebie

    WMBA

Origins Plantscription Serum (15ml) - WMBA as it doesn't upset my skin and it's nice and light. I've been through two of these 15ml freebies and really liked them but I think it's too expensive for me to buy.

Not as many UUs as the amazing Dolly (:T) but a really good month for me in that I cleared a lot of unloved products. Still a mountains worth to go, of course

Kadison - I'm very envious of your L'Occitane haul! (That shows how unreformed I am! :rotfl:)

I was thrilled:D, I just added a comment echoing a comment from another reader in response to being asked what new fact sheets we would like to see, specifically this was about acid toners and which ones would be best for different age groups as well as skin types, mentioning my own requirements as an example, I really did not expect an answer.

Reference the discussion on lip salves, I use/use up some of them to moisture cuticles, so easy to carry about and use when in waiting rooms, on bus/train, or in car (when not driving:eek:)
