I was a bit mia last month due to 3 weeks of holidays ! August saw no UU, and only 3 in's . BUT! Major achievement, my little sister turns 18 next Tuesday, and she requested a bath bomb from lush as she had never had one, well I made it in there, walked round and round sniffed them all bought her one and didn't get anything for myself!!
I have to admit that was partly because they didn't have any of their solid deodorants, dying to try them. But still I think that shows some pretty good will power! Also been in boots and only got a perfume for my aunt

Mine do that too!
But... two I've UU .. and both ones I've re bought (doesn't happen often), Body Shop - hemp only UU the one but own about 5
and Soft lips - the green one... nearly at the end of my 2nd one.

Hola Beauty Queens :wave: and thank you for all the anniversary wishes, a year has gone SO fast

Back from hols and straight back into the swing of daily life! Had an OK time, DD continued to be a brat for most of the first week and DH and I struggled to find things to do that kept all the kids happy. DS2 is 8 and only wants to play football, DSS is 17 and just moaned about the poor wifi the entire time. I think this will be the last big family holiday we embark upon The best bit was, hands down, running away to London for the night with DH to see We Are Scientists and The Hives at Brixton Academy, we danced like a pair of teenagers and sweated in places I didn't know could sweat but it was THE best gig of my life. AND, as it was my treat, that's DH's 50th birthday present sorted too

I have had the WORST breakout in living memory, my congested chin had been looking so much better before we left but now it is covered (and I mean COVERED) in spots and blocked pores. Also, despite using SPF30 every day on my face, the dreaded Dubai moustache has returned, along with dark pigmentation along the "front" of my cheeks; when I first saw it I thought I hadn't washed my eyeliner off properly and it had run down my face but NO, that's now the colour of my skin Can anyone advise on peels which might help? I know there is a thread on here but it's so long, I got confused Anyone? Please?!?!

I got through a few bits whilst away…

Macadamia Oil Extract Shampoo 300ml
Macadamia Oil Extract Conditioner 300ml; WNB, these were a gift and the shampoo made my hair frizzy and strawy. Used the last shampoo dregs to clean the holiday bathroom Replaced with a Tresemme duo, but that's back in the cupboard now I'm home and have access to my Tigi goodies.
Garnier Essentials Day Cream (the pink one) 50ml; Dunno whether it was the hard water or the sea air but my face was SO dry whilst I was away, I had to slather this on an inch thick. I had guessed it would've lasted me a month under normal circumstances but in Devon, it managed a week. WNBA.
Lacura Q10 Renew Eye Cream 15ml; WNBA, like this when I first tried it, but compared to the next UU it didn't do anything.
Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Eye Cream 15ml; WDBA, beautiful stuff, I can genuinely see the difference in my crow's feet when I use this. Yet again, too poor to replace Have one more stashed but I'm saving that bad boy for my hols in Dubai.
Dove Original Beauty Bar 100g; WDBA, HG
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara; WMBA, I've used this for years but love the EL Sumptuous Extreme so much more. For the time being I have replaced with a S&G one from stash.

Nivea Q10 Energising Day Cream 50ml; bought to replace the Garnier one I motored through. Highly perfumed but I quite like the smell. For normal/combo skin and seems ok.
Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash 177ml; had been mulling this one over for a while but then found it -- in Arabic packaging -- in the 99p store in Torquay. *If you see a bargain, do you let it get away? Somebody else buy!

Rituals Infinity Hand Cream 75ml; TK Maxx bargain, £3 instead of £8.50. Smells gorgeous, minty and cooling.
Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Micro Polish 75ml; bought in an attempt to combat my massive breakout Haven't seen any improvement but at least I feel as though I am doing something, if that makes sense?!

I also got an Ecotools tapered blush brush for £4 and their 5 mini brush eye set for £8 in TX Maxx, they're all lovely. Looked in Boots today and the two combined should have been £25 so I feel it was :money:

Had a slip up at Sephora the other day. I'm nearly finished my perfect pinky-gold eyeshadow and am looking for a replacement because it's been discontinued. So I thought I'd found it in Sephora's own line and when I was paying they gave me my birthday present, so another mascara and lipstick in.


I've actually finished a few lip glosses but my biggest regret was losing an Armani gloss and my metal blotting paper case (Bodyshop doesn't make them anymore) in Spain earlier this year.


OK, I'm going to be in the UK on September 12 and 21st. Which magazines should I be looking for? It's an overnight in Hounslow between flights, so I need to be efficient in my time usage in shops.
