    Probably a catch.

As stated in my posts above there wasn't. You just had to buy something on EBay with it by the 31st. It wasn't brain surgery.

The points had to be converted to an Ebay voucher by 31st, the voucher is valid for a year. Spent mine this morning ;)

Unlike ebay, nectar doesn't seem to care if you have multiple accounts (to get the same promotion multiple times)

On Sunday, 31/8/14, I used the 2000 points for shopping in Sainsburys. Today I did some shopping and the receipt showed a negative points balance. So, ebay took back the 2000 points because I did not convert them into ebay vouchers. They should not have put them into my nectar account in the first place then. Now I am paying off my points! It's like a credit card, paying off your overdraft! :(

Update. After emailing Nectar and not complaining, but stating the fact of what happened, they emailed me back and set my points balance to 0! I am very impressed and really appreciated it. They knew what happened and also pointed it out, but without saying it was my fault. Very nice indeed.
