Co-op Energy: Submitting readings online

Are there any co-op customers out there? I'm in the process of switching and received the email requesting meter readings for the switch. Logged on to the website but there is nowhere I can see to enter the readings.
I can see the text that says enter your readings below.
I can see the button to submit the readings.
I can't see anywhere to put the readings. Anyone had the same?
If I go to the Payment screen, I can see the box to type in a payment amount.
I'm running Win8.1 and have tried both FF and IE11

The boxes to enter the readings are between where it says enter readings and send readings, I'm looking at mine now. It may be that as it's your first read you'll need to phone the meter readings in to them?
That's where I guessed the boxes would be - but they aren't there. There isn't even space for them.
Oh well, I guess I'll have to see what Co-op say although that rather defeats the object of managing an account online if you can't do it without having to call/email them.0 -
I've been submitting mine for three years and I'm using Windows 7 and Chrome. It sounds like your browser isn't compatible.
Have you tried compatibility mode, or try Chrome?

That's what I thought originally - hence trying IE11 as well as firefox. I also tried compatibility view but no joy. And cleared all cookies/cache and retried. I have just downloaded Chrome and given that a go - no joy either.
I've been out all day so I sent an email this morning about it - no response yet.
It just seems odd that I can see and enter details into the box that appears for payments but not for meter readings - so I don't think its a browser issue really0 -
It may be that Co-operative Energy has to enter the first meter readings onto your account to "activate" your side. I gave my opening meter readings over the telephone when I joined in January and they showed on my account within the hour.0

Barncopxx is correct.
The first reading needs to be phoned through on 0800 954 0693 or 01926 516152 ( The 0800 number tends to get busy - never tried the other number)
This reading will have to be agreed between your old and new suppliers.
Once agreed, this will enable you to enter you monthly readings on line

Which contradicts the email they send requesting the meter reads which states:Your move to Co-operative Energy is almost complete and we are now ready to take a meter reading from you to set up your account with us. We will also use this reading to send to your current supplier so that they can arrange your final bill with them.
Once you have this final bill, please remember to cancel your direct debit with them.
It's very important that we receive your meter reading(s) within the next 7 days to ensure we can fully complete your transfer to Co-operative Energy.
Please follow these steps:
1. Read your meter within the next 7 days.
2. Log on to your account area on our website: www.cooperativeenergy.coop and enter the meter readings. You will need to use your email address and your password that you set up for your energy account to log on.
3. If you are not sure how to read your meter, please take a look at ‘how to read your meter’ on our website www.cooperativeenergy.coop
4. If you are due to go on holidays and cannot submit the reading within 7 days, please send it to us as soon as possible by emailing info@cooperativeenergy.coopor calling 0800 954 0693
Once we have your meter reading, we will complete the switching process for you and Co-operative Energy will become your energy supplier.
If they'd said ring us with your reads, I'd have done that. But its an online tariff I've signed up for, they say enter your reads online but the functionality isnt there.0 -
You are right Tizerbelle - they are confusing instructions.
Having said that, once your account is set up, it should run smoothly. The only criticism I have is that contacting them can become a bit frustrating due to the long phone queues and email reply delays."It's nice to be important but more important to be nice"

I am in the process of changing to the Co-op.
How quickly did it happen as I am going on holiday and won't be able to give readings for the next 2 weeks.
I started the to change on 7th Aug.
I never access the internet or check my emails on holiday so I would actually welcome a delay.over 73 but not over the hill.0 -

You might want to check your email and potentially junk/spam mail folder. I signed up online on the 10th Aug and got the meter read request late evening on the 29th Aug - the last day of my cooling off period (they gave the date in the welcome pack)0
