are you claiming any benefit 'top up' for your wife?

if she only works a few hours , but you still receive some benefit for her....
she would have to attend a WFI

No top up benefit. I don't know what a top up is! What is it? Thanks.

are you both sick/disabeld or is it just your wife?

is it her ESA claim ( with you added as a partner) or do you both claim ESA ?

if it is her ESA claim, with you added onto it as the non/sick/disabled partner, then yes, you do have to attend WFI's. regardless of which group she is in

an 'income related top up' is paid when one of a couple claims contributions based ESA.
it is them possible to claim a 'top up' when the household income is lower than it would be if it was a joint income related claim

Read the letters the DWP have sent to you, that will show a detailed break down of what benefits are paid to you.
