work focused interview for my partner im on ESA

Hi,
Am new to the forum but wondered if anybody can help...
My partner received a letter saying she had to attend a work based interview next week. This came a s a big shock to both of us as she spends her time helping me and looking after our 3 year old daughter.
I currently receive ESA and am in the support group but Kim does not receive carers as we have only just been advised we should claim.
I have a back injury from an accident at work and I also have mental health issues and I see a cpn on a regular basis and am taking medication.
Im so scared that they are going to make kim return to work as I depend on her to help me throughout the day getting dressed, using the toilet etc and also when I have bad days she helps me calm down and stop me from having a melt down..
Will they take into account that she cares for me even though she is not claiming carers allowance?
I would appreciate any help as im in bits worrying whats going to happen, do you think my mental health team may be able to help perhaps with a letter saying how much I rely on her help.
Sorry for dribbling on and we both would appreciate any help
Thanks

a work focused interview has nothing to do with trying to make jer work.
it is an informal chat about what she may see herself being able to do in the future.
everyone claiming out of work benefits ( apart from those in the ESA support group) is called in for these interviews from time to time and your familys personal circumstances will be factored into anything that she may be asked to do ( courses etc)

As NT says - it is a routine thing for non working partners to be asked to attend a WFI. ALL she needs to do is go & tell them her Caring responsibilites - it does not matter that no CA is currently paid.
If you get the Care part of DLA/Pip at appropriate level then she can apply for CA.0 -

the question is can you 100 percent confirm as we are in the support group{ joint claim} if i have to attend or not please? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Support group claimants do not need to do anything related to work activities. So wouldn't need to go to any WFI, Which means your wife doesn't need to go also.0 -
