spam mail

After 8 complaining e.mails and one hour on the phone to TT I still cannot block spam from a company that has sent me nearly 500 messages since the middle of June. I don't want to change my e.mail address - can anyone suggest a solution before I start climbing the walls - I have Norton 300 protection but that doesn't seem to cover spam, and I have no way of blocking them through my TT e.mail set-up. Don't know if I'm allowed to mention the name of the perpetrator but it has the word "rare" as part of it's address. Has anyone else come across this pesky Company? Thanks, MillHouse

Set up a filter to bin messages from that sender.

You have not mentioned what email provider you are using, but most have a Mark as Spam button which makes their spam filters 'learn'.

Spam is not necessarily a virus or such, so won't be actioned by your Norton protection.

Assuming you're using TalkTalk webmail, according to their help pages...
    1. Select the mail message with the checkbox.
    2. Click the Spam icon.
    3. Click OK to block the sender and add their email to the Blocked Senders List in your Filters list.

    For more details, see: http://help2.talktalk.co.uk/blocking-unwanted-emails

(If you're not using TT webmail, you need to come back and specify what you are using.)

It's not your ISP's job to filter your spam, they have no control over who send you emails.
Just block that address using your own email client's spam filter if on webmail, or as above.
