Thank you sourcrates
I will send a reminder, this time by registered post, out on Friday which will have been 15 days.0 -
so I sent a reminder to both companies by registered post on the 19th which will have been 15 days since I sent the original and basically said that this was the second time I have contacted them. I know they have received the letters as I have checked through tracking but as yet have heard nothing back from either. Is this usual? Would you advise I send any further letters or should I now leave it with them?
Thank you all again for your help and support0 -
so little bit of a panic today - its been a full calendar month since I sent the first letters and 2 weeks since i sent the reminders and I have had nothing back at all.
Should I be worried by this? Is this a bad sign?
Sorry to ask but I was hoping for something back from them by now to start getting this sorted0 -
They may still be looking for evidence, as when they get the accounts, they don't usually get all the paperwork, this is held by the original creditor.
I would just wait, someone will get in touch, even if its a different DCA.
Just put any spare cash aside for when they do.

Thanks happy_bunny, I guess its just my mind doing overtime and worrying about ccj letters dropping through my door.
As you say I will leave it with them and wait and see what happens.
Thanks again for your reply0 -

Hi all, I finally had a reply from one of the DCA, they say:-
"we have requested the relevant documents from the original creditor. Once we have received these we will post them to you."
This was in response to the "prove it letter".
Should I wait for these documents to be sent or am I best to send the CCA request now?
Thanks for your help0 -
I would wait and see what they send.
You need proof it's your debt before going down the CCA route.
