Was this calendar half price in January last year or at some point at the end of the year? I have a lot of the products in that calendar from other boxes. I think I may buy an extra beauty box for Christmas and get a traditional chocolate advent calendar!

Not last year I believe as it sold out but it was reduced the year before. I have ordered it and if it goes half price it won't bother me, I might get another, but I accept that I get one and get the benefit of open it through advent and that I get one. If you wait you risk missing out. This is a Christmas treat to myself!

  • Have been swithering about getting the You calendar but after buying for half price last year think I'll wait and see. The Jo Malone looks fab but is £250!!!
    I love this place :j:T:j
  • Got an email off the Body Shop for £25 off a £50 spend and thought that if the code worked on the advent calendar then it might be worth it, but it didn't....I had a feeling that it wouldn't, they never usually do on these kind of items. It did give free delivery though.

It was deffo reduced last year as it was my first purchase from YBD and I ordered it on 20th Dec for £39 (£10 off). Then it went half price but sold out immediately. Not really impressed this year as there are loads of repeats from boxes - will probably get it if it gets reduced.

Luckily I've got last year's Ciate calender that John Lewis reduced after Christmas :)

Yes! I have far too much nail polish anyway which has kept me going!

I'm not so bothered the nail polish advent calenders tbh, same product, same brand. I definitely prefer the beauty ones where you get a mix. Wish I could justify the Selfridges or Liberty one!

Saw a review of the Benefit advent calendar for this year and wasn't impressed. :( the items are tiny - more like the free samples you get given to "try" a product and defo not worth £130 odd they claim (or the £60 cost it'll sell for:eek:).

Its on You Tube - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CztmL4DEL84 and you can decide yourself...

I was reading that yesterday, it's a good review to help you decide which one to get....although I'm still not totally sure!

The Boots No:7 looks excellent value, but I wouldn't use half the things in it.

I got an email off YBD today, and when I viewed the calendar closer, it does appear to have some different things in that I might use, but I'm not totally over-awed by it. If it goes down to half price, then I'll get one. If it sells out and I miss out, then I'm not overly bothered.

ETA: Did last years YBD advent calendar have a candle in it? I'm thinking yes, but I'm not sure?
