I think that there was an option online to cancel the subscription. I don't know if it changed now.you definitely need to cancel somehow!

I was looking at LIB the other day funnily enough, because a friend has a birthday coming up and I've previously found their boxes to make good gifts - but they have very very little choice at the moment.

I think it's just that the products they offer are ones manufacturers are specifically wanting to promote (or clear out!) and therefore giving discounts on.

It's like if we all had to put together cheap beauty boxes from the high-street, they'd probs all end up containing the same 2 for 1 mascaras from Boots, and whatever's half price in Superdrug.
