Buy as you view PPI reclaim ?

I have a query regarding insurance that was taken out on products i "brought" using Buy as you view, I have only just realised that they were taking insurance off when I clearly stated I didnt want it, aswell as showing them copies of my home insurance as was told if I had that I wouldnt need theirs...

Iv tried to claim back from the company and have been delayed in the process of actually getting hold of anyone there. That is until this week, after being promised a phone call last week and not receiving, i again rang and got told the regional manager will contact me, he now has. BUT he is claiming that because I signed the contract I knew what I was getting? Ok maybe I was naive in trusting the account manager (who have been many!!) but am I wrong in thinking that its similar to PPI???

I'm looking into this myself. It seems that in my contract it was compulsory to take it out. I'm looking further into this and will update this thread when I find out more information.

see we were told it was optional, and I had opted out of wanting it, but now they are saying that because i signed contracts I have no way of saying I didnt want it,

I had cancelled insurance on other products I "brought" from them, so why would I want to take it out on other products???

Ok its not PPI, but surely there should be something about it being mis-sold or duped into buying it.
