Ok we have the new Nano sim with a new cntract from three mobile.
Before i used the unlimited tethering and now it has been limited to 2gb., (HTC 610)
Just out of curiousity is there a way to bypass this to unlimited or am i stuck on my new limit.
14 day cooling period s i might revert back to my old contract and buy a new phone.
Thanx in advance

Cheers

You won't be able to revert to your old contract if they no longer offer it. You will just be able to cancel and move provider or upgrade to a different tariff that offers more tethering.

As for getting round the limit, not that I know of.

Not what he told me, he said i could revert back to the old contract if i wasn't happy ...
Maybe a sly move to get away from the thethering !!!

As said, do they still offer your old contract to new customers today? Or is it a legacy contract?

You can revert back to the old contract. Except it'll be at the old price point. That's the only way to keep unlimited tethering.

Three take the view that using the phone or sim "personalises" the software in them and so voids the DSR rules. Its correct in the DSR rules, but a very narrow reading of them to define a phoen or SIM on software grounds.

Have you used the phone, (or even removed the SIM from the plastic sim carrier) as that may be enough for them to say that it's been used.

I understand but this is the approach that Three have taken in the past.

It could be the policy has changed but that's the line they had in the past.
  • I am pipped off with three, as I got a new iphone 5s upgrade and thus new contract and stated it was all unlimited but not unlimited tethering as I had. I did not find out until I registered the new 3 online app and found out about it. I think the sale people should have to tell you all the changes in the new contracts before you sign them.

I am sure this will again go down as serious mis selling. I was too late to change and I had a £37 a month contract, which was good. I am paying the same for less, albeit have a new phone.

I would still prefer to be told the whole story, so we can make informed decisions/

My post was showing you it's changed. Three now return/exchange within 14 days no matter if it's online, telesales or in store. Doesn't matter if it's used.

Beside that post you posted is from 2012....
