Virgin Netflix Code Expiration issues

Hope someone out there has had similar issues and resolved.
I moved over to Virgin from Sky in Jan and was provided a 6 month offer to Netflix and a code.
I was due to leave the country for a few months and did not feel it would be good to activate the code before I left. On my return I tried the code and it had expired. Contacted Netflix to see if there was a way around and they advised to contact Virgin as they were the issuers and could clearly see that the code was never activated.
I have contacted Virgin on a few occasions and each time advised that they should be able to issue a new code and email me. Never received the email. Contacted them again today and was advised that all they did was fill in a form to send to relevant team and they came back saying it was not possible but I was never updated.
I am not sure why this is such a major issue. If both parties can see that the code was never activated / used it should be easy to reissue a new code as their obligation to provide me with 6 mths of access to netflix was never fulfilled.
Would love to hear other peoples experiences and advice. I moved to Virgin for the service but haven't been happy with it so far and for what I am paying, it hardly seems worth the effort.
Thanks

Netflix is available via the Virgin TV "Catch Up" service, so what would you need a "code" for?
Or are you just subscribing to Virgin Broadband and want to view Netflix via the 'net?
If the latter is the case, and the 6 month offer has expired ,then I don't really see what your complaint is?emeralddreams wrote: »their obligation to provide me with 6 mths of access to netflix was never fulfilled.
You've simply been away and missed the deal.0
