[ I couldn't see any indications on the signage (photographed) that penalties would be levied for overstaying.

    dear darwood

can you put the photographs up of the signage
not exactly sure how you do this, but on another site it is fairly easy

Host it on (free to use) Photobucket or Tinypic and copy a broken link (remove the http bit) and we'll convert it so it can be viewed via this thread.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Darwood, as eddy1 says we need to see photos of the actual signs. This is important for the appeals process. If they are old signs this will help enormously.

Regarding the keeper issue. If your name is on the registration document, because eg you own the company they you can and should wait for the NTK. But if it will go to your boss who will pay and take the money from your salary, then you should appeal early. If it is a small company and they will pass the anTK on to you if they know it is coming, then the choice is yours. The reason we say appeal early is because it is hard to fight your employers to get the money back.

Take some photos upload to eg tiny-pic.com and the post the link here but with hxxp instead of http. We will then do the rest.

(And thank you eddy1 for getting involved it's good to see new posters actively trying to help others. It's how I started 6 months ago and I am now sometimes referred to as an expert, all because I came here for advice early in the year. I got hooked.)

its not for you to determine these legal issues, its up to popla or a court of law to do so

what you see as a strong case isnt relevant, only if it went to court

if we assume that tens of thousands of cases that go to popla are upheld , then why is yours any different ? why not let popla decide ? do you have better legal training than a popla assessor ?

are these successes not true then ? lol https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4488337
    All good points, thanks.

did you read the part in the newbies thread that tells you that "what happened on the day" is irrelevant ? or that you always have a case ?
    I must have missed that.

if the prices put you off , why not pay parkingticketappeals.org £16 to do it for you ?
I have now done this as I don't want to run the risk or have the hassle of fighting it myself. For the benefit of anyone else reading this thread the website is actually parkingticketappeals.org.uk

Thanks for all the advice Redx

I've checked the V5C and the company is actually the registered keeper. I have advised everyone in the company that i am appealing the charge and not to pay it but pass any correspondence to me.

    Photographs as requested.

Umkomaas and Dee140157, does it need to be broken links? I've posted the full http and it seems to be working fine.

Is that really all there is? I see the square root of naff all there about charges for overstaying.

That's all I could see around the pay machine. There was a scout hut down the other end of the car park that I think the attendant sits in so maybe he's hiding some signage in there!?!

Have you actually decided to go to parkingticketappeals ?

If so there is no point going into depth for an appeal of they are doing the work for you.

If you want to go it alone, then I think there is a huge amount of mileage in the signage for great appeal points. But don't want to write essay of it is pointless
