  • Still waiting to hear from Lloyds, one thing though is that they have been able to confirm that there is no joint bank account in place which is some relief. Hopefully will find out more soon

Hi, no I haven't yet. I looked into it but was put off by the entering of my bank card details including security strip for them to identify me with my bank. I would have thought my bank account sort code would do the same. Am i being led into hidden charges with them? I only ever put card info like that in for purchases
You're not being led into hidden charges, they have to be sure you're who you say you are.

Anyone, yes anyone, could know your sort and account numbers and I'm sure you'd not be happy if they gave access to someone else!

Noddle is free (unless you actively select the paid-for service)

You are signing up to view very sensitive financial information about yourself, so expect to have to give them a lot of details for verification purposes. The card details could be used to put a temporary hold on a small sum to make sure the details are valid.

It seems as though it was the original change of address on your (then) joint account that has introduced the incorrect address into their database against your name. Then years later, for some unknown reason, the addresses were reconciled and the wrong one won out.

Seems like a good time to consider going paperless.

noddle don't take a penny off you, unless you specifically buy a service from them. You do not need to buy anything in order to be able to look at your credit file. But they do need to be able to identify you as otherwise anybody could look at your data. They are using your debit card to confirm it is you.

Don't be tempted to buy any of their chargeable services, they are a waste of money.
