Notice given letting agent wants to come and inspect

Hi there
Just wanted to say that I'm in a similar position to you in that I got a letter from leasing agent saying they wanted to come round and inspect. I checked my contract and it said there that I had to let them do it. I could be there or not, whatever I preferred.
I welcomed it because my leasing agents are a bunch of lazy gits so while they were here I pointed out all the things that I had reported needing fixed but hadn't been done yet. I quite enjoyed myself. I think they were glad to get away.
They are not looking at tidiness, they just need to see the place is ok.
Don't worry. They might be helpful. If you know you have enough, you're rich.0 -
I think we should have a sticky that explains exactly what quiet enjoyment is.
G_M and jj can put it together so we get a bit of an argument going.
I'll chip in with some inflammatory remarks that serve no purpose other than to wind people up.
We can even let guest101 add their own ahem 'unique' approach to dispute resolution.
It's got to be better than having the same discussions over and over again.0 -

It's expected that there will be boxes everywhere just before you move.
Have you not had a house inspection before?
I care!!!! I'm normally on top of things and all other inspections the house is as per usual spotless I don't want the impression that I'm not bothered about the property now I'm moving out.
Any way I had a call from the letting agency late yeasterday, and the LL is coming round himself to inspect the house on Monday morning!
I did notice though that the to let sign has already gone up, which I feel is a little premature are the house needs major work doing on it before anyone comes for viewings.0 -
Not definitive but the arguments been had before

Definitely makes for an interesting read.
I've been through it twice now and frankly, the whole debacle reminds me of a Punch and judy sketch.
It also seems jjlandlord has changed his mind since 2010, i wonder if would be so kind as to provide the sources which lead to the change of opinion.*Assuming you're in England or Wales.0 -

Perhaps, just perhaps, I don't spend all my time on forums just repeating my opinion but I actually research the issue to check if anything actually supports it.
I would suggest others do the same instead of waiting there to be spoon-fed.
That thread on LLZ has legal points from a legally-trained member about rights of access, actually he is the one who started that thread: They are one of my sources.
Anyone interested by the topic of "quiet enjoyment" can research it online. There are quite a few legal sources.0
