Which phone to get???Advice please from those who know!
Hi,
Im not normally on this board but im sure with all your knowledge that you can help me and i can travel back to the ebay board singing all your praises!!
My parents phone contract runs out in may and i am looking to get their upgrade!!!
I was wondering which is the best phone around and the price of it when upgrading from an orange phone, (contract worth £30 per month)
Those who know what is the best please let me know, all replies appreciated.
Features wanted preferable a good quality camera and not too big, thats it!
apparently the d500 is a good phone.

personally i would of said the nokia 6230 but now theres a newer better phone out the nokia 6230i
(CHECK OUT THE FEATURES HERE)
With a £30 a month contract if your parents phone their upgrade department asking for one and are told there's a fee tell them to say that they may as well cancel the contract as o2 are offering the same network coverage etc with free phone.Knowing from past experience orange will agree and send you the phone for free and possibly give your parents extra free minutes too.(With o2 you would get free messages too,but not sure orange like giving them or parents like using them,lol)......©..®..(TM) NothingVentured.

Thanks a lot izzy, will be phoning orange in a couple of weeks to see what can be done but wanted to do my resaerch on phones first. The 6230i looks very good actually.
Do you think its better than the samsun d500?

I prefer Samsung as a brand - the D500 is a winner!!
Also have you seen E720 - if you like the 500, but prefer flip!!
Check in http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk for their thoughts!!

You might want to check first that Orange have the 6230i on their network. At the moment it only seems to be on 02 (e2save) and on Vodafone on limited sites.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

I have a D500 and love it BUT just to put a spanner in the works a D600 is due out in a few months has a 2mp camera and an external memory slot and will beat the 6230i for features.
Think there is already a poll somewhere but may have been the 6230 and D5002p off is still 2p off!0 -
and unfortunately there will probably be a d700 and nokida 6230abc out after another couple of months with mimimal improvements, but as long as they can get away with it then they will0
