As far as i know, the metering business and BGs servicing installation arm are not related.

There is also no such thing as a test certificate for domestic premises with regard to tightness and pressure testing.

One may be provided for testing and purging of larger installations which fall within scope of IGEM UP1/1A but were are talking about far larger capacity installations than a domestic meter.

Well I'll have to disagree there Ollski and its not what I keep hearing from BG guys. It seems they're encouraged to push new boilers or the visit of a salesman put it that way.
They're overly expensive and trading on, what used to be, a good name.
I won't say they're incompetant because they're not, just a tad greedy.
Investors should get a return, I don't agree with what tends to be a BG engineer scaring the homeowner into an unnecessary purchase.

I'm for one a satisfied BG customer, been on boiler care 100 for many years, engineers always punctual polite and never upsell me anything.
Cost gets negotiated every year and BG always relent.
Had a quite a few main boards go in my boiler (Gloworm) and BG always change and have the part without question.

In comparison the local independant who fitted it was useless when it broke down initially, the 2nd guy was ok when he turned up ! but was just un-reliable.
