Hi,
Just updating, painting etc my front door and looking for a new handle as one I have is a bit past it I think. Could anyone please have a look at pics and advise where could get exact one as not a great diyer for new holes etc :-)
Have tried looking around online and in shops and cant find one. Thanks in advance.

Presume you've tried ebay - loads to trawl through and check the measurements on the old one too. The listings do list the key measurements you'll need to avoid drilling new holes, but there seems to be so many permutations - unless the maker is stamped on the handle somewhere?0

Yes thanks, I tried eBay but like you say not sure what to search for and looking through general searches for handles couldn't find one. Worried will buy and then not fit.
I even took handle with me to b and q, home-based, screwfix, wikes and no joy.
Possibly someone knows if there is anything that can clean the handles even, just is so noticeable as it is with me painted door, garage, house exterior. Well to me anyway :-)0 -
Since it looks like one a double glazing firm might fit, if you know the coy that fitted it they might be able to help or at least tell you makes to look for.0

thanks, the house is 14 years old and we have just moved in at the end of last year so not sure who fitted it. I guess it may have been on the house since it was built (certainly looks that way) and they dont make them anymore. Hopefully they do though:)0 -
We replaced ours recently, lots of online shops sell them. I would google the plate length or pz measurement. This is the distance between the lock and handle. If the plate length and pz match you should be okay as if you have to create new holes, they won't be visible.0

thanks I will give that a go, although i was trying to avoid having to drill any holes, or move any of the lock mechanism if i didnt have to. Maybe I will have to or just leave it as it is0 -
You could try making a paste of bicarbonate of soda and lemon juice. Leave it on for a while, remove then buff to a shine. It may not work but worth a try.I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0

Just a thought, but if you take off the handle, it sometimes has manufacturers name inside.0

Why don't you spray paint the old handle?
Or am I missing something?0
