Where to find a stunning maternity dress for a wedding

Hi all,
I wonder if you can help, I am after a maternity dress that will make me feel stunning, while I am really a large sized blob.
I am a size 18 and feel such a blob, but have a wedding coming up and desperate to feel semi decent.
Any ideas?
Thanks

hi counting pennies
my wife went on freecycle to find her wedding dress and party dress when we got married when she was pregnant as well(sorry not meant to offend you but to just give you an idea).
hope this might help you.0 -
Ebay always has those sort of things - people often wear a nice maternity dress once for a special occasion.
Otherwise try the usual suspects - New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Next directory, or one of these:

But pregnancy is the only time you don't have to waste a minute worrying about holding your stomach in! You're not a blob - you're blooming!
I have just read an article saying that the current high fashion smock dress shape makes thin people look pregnant, so you might find something that's not maternity wear.
Look out for the Accessorize sale, if it's not too late - they almost always go down to 75% off, and a fabulous beaded scarf slung round the shoulders makes me feel good, and draws attention away from the bump, if that's what you want.0 -
Are you the bride or a guest? If a guest, than you've got a bit more leeway. I'd ebay for some good designer'ish makes. I like Isabella Oliver (which are very expensive brand new but reasonable on ebay and often barely worn as they are so expensive and also quite dressy.0

I was a guest last year when 6 months pregnant and I bought a dress from Evans, they are a little generous in their sizing so got into an 18 when that would have been my normal size in a "normal!" shop.

Being complete moneysaving here. Don't waste your money buying brand new. A lot of maternity dresses are only worn once. My wife bought herself an amazing dress from ebay. It was an Isabella Oliver dress, she said it was going to cost her £100 if she bought if from their store but she got it for under £50. Do a search and see what you like.
I have done a quick search for Isabella Oliver and these two instantly came up in the size you said you are, one is a dress just like the one she wore.

All fab places to find some stunning clothes except bump2babe. Don't touch them with a barge pole, I've only just managed to get a chargeback from my credit card company for stuff I ordered in March and never arrived and if you do a google search for them you'll see I'm not the only one with problems. They are currently being investigated by Cardiff and Northampton Trading Standards. (they also have an ebay shop with some pretty horrendous feedback)Js_Other_Half wrote: »Ebay always has those sort of things - people often wear a nice maternity dress once for a special occasion.

Don't worry, if you hadn't had problems you'd have no reason to know. Just wanted to make sure no-one else goes through the grief I've had.
