Hi,

I'm currently a long term customer with Vodafone, while I'm aware that everyones experiences differ I have only received excellent customer services with them. I recently took out an upgrade with them which was discussed and oragnised with a sales rep over the phone.

With their new 4G price plans they also include the free use of Spotify, SkySports or Netflix. While on the phone with the sales rep I was informed of these services and I clarified the length of these services, i.e. would Netflix be included for the length of my contract, this was confirmed.

It transpires that this isn't the case and I will only be receiving Netflix for 6 months. I contacted Vodafone, to summarise it's being escalated and the call with the sales rep is being reviewed.

I wanted to know what my position was. I obviously raised the issue that it was a considering factor when taking out my upgrade and I took the upgrade contract under the impression I would be receiving this service for the duration of my contract (24 months).

Do I have any grounds to terminate the contract without penalty?
Or will Vodafone have to simply fulfill what they told me?
Should I terminate would I have to return the handset?

I'm not trying to being an ice pick about it, I'd just like to know where I stand in this situation. You never negotiate unprepared! :)

Thanks for your time and any help!

EDIT - To clairfy the contract is currently 2 months old and therefore outside of the 14 day period.

    .

I would suggest Vodafone have the choice to remedy the situation (if proven) by either supplying the services offered at point of upgrade or cancelling the upgrade and putting you into the same position you were in prior to upgrading (so the phone would probably have to be returned).
