Morning all :)

Still raining here so not a very nice day again. It's going to be a busy day so M.I.L is picking up the children at 10 then meeting with S.I.L and her children and going to a ball pit type thing where they can play as long as they like so hopefully tired children when they return :)

I have loads of washing to do so I'm contemplating taking it to the launderette to dry. I have some books for the charity shop and they are right next door to each other so I can have a browse whilst the washing dries. I can't buy anymore clothes though as I have too many as it is :o

The children want spicy bean burgers for dinner tonight. I'm afraid I buy these from Aldi and have never tried making them but they are rather nice. Maybe one day I will give it a go.

Bannisters are on the list for cleaning today. It is surprising how dirty they get. I also need to finish the ironing from yesterday's list and the bathrooms are down for a clean again :) Thank you for sharing what toilets cleaning products were used. I'm going to buy the bleach from Aldi today and see if using that will cut costs further. I do like the bloo in the toilet bowl but that's not a necessity. It's daft but I think the toilets look cleaner than with just water :o

It's shopping day today and I am going to start using cash rather than card when I go to Aldi. I have a budget of £125 which I am hoping to reduce further. I've started making a list but just need to finish the meal plan. Hopefully I can fit everything in before falling into an exhausted heap on the bed :D

Warm wishes for today Lily A difficult day but I hope it goes how you have planned :)

You know the saying 'treat others how you would like to be treated'? Well, I'm not going to bother anymore. I'm going to assume that others live by that saying and treat them how they're treating me. So angry atm  I'm expecting some whining and them trying to start a row, but that's their problem not mine.

• Good Morning everyone, soggy and dull again here today but life must go on so Hound and Hubby are out walking in waterproofs and I'm going to dust and vacuum before they come back.

Treat in store this evening when my Sister in Law and I try out a new restaurant that's opened in the village, it's an italian and I hope the food is better than most other italian food I've had here in the UK. I find it's much better on the continent but I won't know unless I try it will I?

MOLLY well done on making a start on the house, pace yourself and don't get carried away by trying to do too much, housework is very obliging and will still be there for you tomorrow or the next day.

LILYPLONK I'll be thinking of you all today, which will not be an easy day for any of you but will be the start of closure and completion of your Mums life. From here on she can rest peacefully and you can all begin the journey to acceptance and be able to remember the good times and love that went with her life too. Time and life will give you the distance from the raw hurt of loss and your memories will be those to make you smile rather than cry. You'll never truly lose her as long as your love and remember her and the ability to do that gets easier as time goes on love, Hugs, Lyn xxx.

Good morning everybody. I'm appologise for not being around for a few days. I hope everybody is well.

The wedding on Saturday was fanastic. OH was like a bull chewing a wasp until he got his speech out of the way, I was glad I didn't have to sit near him for a while lol. We left at 1 and my goodness but it was cold. The car said 3 degrees!!

Sunday was visit the family day and dissect the wedding. All agreed it was brilliant.

Yesterday was a family day, where we did nothing, but enjoyed being in each others company.

It's cloudy but dry here today. I have yesterdays washing on the line hoping to dry it off. Took the dogs to the lake this morning. It was very pretty, grey skies, grey lake and white swans swimming along. The lake was very still. I was the only one there enjoying it.
No plans for today, a little tidying up and try to catch up on the washing if the weather plays ball, mount washmore is getting very tall.

Lillyplonk thinking of you today.

Morning all,

Lilyplonk thinking of you today. Such a difficult day for you. Much love.

Didn't manage to post on yesterdays thread as our internet was down. Didn't manage to get online till last night and then I was fit for nothing.

Hester good luck with tonight and I hope the twins sleep for you. My Grandson was fretful all Saturday night and ive only just recovered. Your poor hubby I guess he will get no sleep whether the twins sleep all night or not. Old memories are difficult to forget. Its such a responsibility looking after someone elses children too. Hubby went to give our Grandson an egg Soldier on Sunday and I screamed at him not to. Of course I used to give our babies egg soldiers but things have moved on and theres a list of stuff you cant give them these days. If my Grandson had been my child I'd have said 'stuff the rules' and given it to him anyway but he's not my son and I have to remind myself he's only on 'loan'. Its not for me to take on such decisions by myself.

The weekend was wet, today doesn't look as though its going to be any different.

Got a date with the vacuum cleaner today. Havent vaccummed upstairs since Saturday and the carpet is covered in dog hairs.

Onwards and forwards, duster in one hand and vacuum in the other.

have a great day all.

Morning all,

Raining here, wanted to do a bit outside OH wanting to do lawns, think he can forget that for a few days, I will knit and watch tennis, OH can cook and do other kitchen bits, dogs will supervise us both!

Thinking of you today Lilyplonk.

Cant manage to convert OH to newspaper online, he buys one every day (€2!) and I have decided that they breed as living room is littered with junk that comes with paper and paper itself, I seem to be ever picking up.

Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Afternoon all,

Lily thinking of you and your family today x

Weather here isn't as nice as yesterday, still dry with sunny spells but more clouds. Doesn't worry me being stuck in the office all day anyway, have to physically move just to see what the weather is outside.

Didn't have quite as productive an evening yesterday as I'd hoped, was feeling a bit iffy and my throat was sore, worried for a bit it was the dreaded tonsilitis but not sore today so big phew! Did pop on the WM which emptied the basket (until this morning!), two loads done over the weekend are dry and put away, yesterday's load now on the horse. I then snuggled myself with a blanket on the sofa and decluttered some of my sky+.

Today I'm going to a chums for chinese take away, she has three littlies so will be home at a reasonable time. Might aim to give the kitchen worktops a good wipe down and start looking at the corner of doom (started putting stuff in it months ago for a car boot sale that got cancelled!)

Have a good day all, hugs where needed or wanted

Hug to Lilyplonk and thinking of you.

Made DH butternut squash soup and rye pancakes with hoummus and broccoli for lunch. DD had home made beef and mushroom pie with veg.

Tonight might be fish and home made oven chips and will pop down to supermarket for YS items later.

Having a quiet day as youngest has gone out to visit friends and DH is in garden.

Ordered some supplements for DH and some books on extra healthy eating which will save trailing round shops.

No idea what to wear for wedding in November but will have to start thinking about it soon. MOB in underwear is not a good look;)

Hugs to all.

TTFTM I hope the hossy appointment goes well xxx

elona thinking of you, I hope Thursday brings some good news xxx

It has rained all day again so far :(

We went down to town and got a call from DD to say that she was given half day because it was so quiet, so went and picked her up.
DS has just brought home his college enrolment forms for his second year so I have to find all the paperwork for that, you would think that you wouldn't have to keep doing this on a 2 year course :(

I made 80 origami elephants yesterday for Whipsnade zoo while I watched a couple of films. They are trying for a world record and need 30,000 by the end of September the only proviso is that you use proper origami paper (Guinness rules) and the template from the site you do have to sign up for the newsletter though but it is well worth it :)

Off to put cook dinner - mozzarella and tomato tart with caramalised onions (Thanks NPM ;) with salad and new potatoes tonight.

Evening all,

Seem to have had a busy day today, which is no bad thing. Walked with my friend this morning in the rain. It wasn't raining too hard then so not too bad. Came back for a coffee and a chat.
Cleaned the house all through. DH and DS2 came in just after lunch. DH had been nominated to do the Ice Bucket Challenge on Facebook so we got everything ready. Did the challenge while recording him on his camera. When he went to upload it to Facebook he inadvertently deleted it instead and so we had to do it again :)

Took DS2 to College so that he could enrol. Me and DH went to The Range and had coffee and cake.

Our friend who has just lost his wife rang while we were out to say that it had just hit him so he came to us for dinner and now all the boys have gone to watch Gillingham play. I'm going to have a bath and then catchup with the TV.

Happy Tuesday :)

Lilyplonk - Hope it all went ok today and it wasn't too wet where you are x
