I am 8 weeks pregnant with my second baby and finding myself absolutely exhausted all the time. It's not been the easiest pregnancy so far. I was taken into hospital last week for a scan for a suspected ectopic pregnancy due to sickness, stomach upset and tummy pains but thank goodness everything was okay.

Since last week I have been suffering from what I can only describe as extreme exhaustion. I can hardly get out of bed for more than a couple of hours and am struggling to manage basic household tasks. I have been signed off work for a week with the assurance that I can go back for another line at the end of this week. My mum is helping out lots with my other little one at the moment and my husband is being there when he can but is not the most empathetic at the best of times.

I wonder if anyone else suffered similar symptoms at this stage and if so do you have any advice? I really want to get back to normal. I am starting to feel v angry and frustrated with myself.

Agree with msb - come and join us in the less than 12 weeks thread, betti. We are a supportive bunch, many of whom just have each other at this time because it's too early to tell anyone else! Guaranteed you will find someone who feels the same as you and who can offer some support.

Hope to see you there x

betti - I spent 2 months going to work, coming home and sleeping, waking up for dinner and going back to sleep. That was with no other child/ren to worry about and by good luck I had booked some leave (before knowing i was pg) to work 3 and 4 day weeks during feb and march. I did nothing at weekends except lseep (again no other small person demanding attention, well other than DH :p)
    Met DH to be 2010
    Moved in and engaged 2011
    Married 2012
    Bought a house 2013
