Hey all,

I upgraded my iPhone 4S to a Galaxy S5 about 15 days ago. During the 14 day period (where you can return your phone if you don't like it), I didn't insert my SIM. When the 14 day period ended, I opened the SIM as I was happy with the phone, inserted it, to only find out that the SIM wasn't registered.

I then contacted Carphone Warehouse to only find out that the phone needs to be returned and exchanged for a new one (return and resell) as it hasn't been registered with Vodafone.

Quote from the e-mail:
I'm sorry that your Vodafone account hasn't reflected your new purchase, this is because your upgrade has failed on this occasion. I've attempted to liaise with Vodafone today to correct the error which has occurred, but they've refused to complete my request manually.

We can only complete the upgrade and remove the error if you attend a Carphone Warehouse store, so we can perform what we call a return and a resell. I understand that this may be an inconvenience for you so I'll be more than happy to discuss a gesture of goodwill, but I would only liaise with you regarding the gesture once we've successfully completed your upgrade.

Now I've gone on Vodafone's website, as well as other websites such as Phones4u and they're all saying I can still upgrade!

My question is - for anyone out there who has come across this problem or knows about it - does this mean I'm able to upgrade my phone once again and keep this S5? :j

Side note: I upgraded my phone via CPW website, and Vodafone are still charging me for my old plan.

Yes, it does mean that, but it also means that CPW could invoice you the full sim free price for the phone you now have and are contemplating refusing to return...

now they have been alerted, if no return they could take you to court
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
