Coop Parking Eye Ticket

Hi I need help with a parking eye fine

I parked at the coop in Barmouth this time last year and I was longer that the given 2hr slot the car was in my fathers name and I was a named driver

He recieved a letter through the post and sh*t a brick then called me, I came on here and read all the "ignore it" posts and "burn it" comments so I decided to pass this info on to my father and we did just that.

Last week he recieved a bailiff letter saying we now owe £140!!!! And he's gone mad so I told him about these forums n he thinks it's all b%#€ks and now he's recieved another letter from a different company saying it's going to court on the 3rd oct

Now he's demanding £140 off me to pay these "bailiffs" and I don't have the cash

Do I stand my ground n cause a upset as my dad will still probably pay or pay myself n fall into these scammers hands??

HELP

Please start your own Thread and read the Newbies Thread.

Please don't repeat that old out of date stuff 'I came on here and read all the "ignore it" posts and "burn it" comments'

Don't look at old newspapers for today's headlines either! Not unkindly meant, but reading properly, not skimming, is key.

There is much panick-y, incorrect terminology in your post, understandably, so back to basics:

Start your own Thread, write exactly what has been received and when and keep reading current info. Then you'll receive the appropriate guidance.

Show us that letter. Change the http in your URL of the scan or photo of that letter, to hxxp instead (newbies can't post 'working' links and that's the way around it!).

And why did you read old 2012 advice if the PCN was from last year?! I am constantly astonished and frustrated at the missed chance to deal with this properly (it would have been cancelled at POPLA easily last Summer). We do get a few people ranting at us - and it turns out that they just Googled, settled down & pointlessly read OLD stuff and didn't click to page one...OMG that's not how to Google an important subject...that's not how to use any forum.

By May 2013 Parking Eye were sending out court papers left right and centre and we had stopped advising 'ignore' as far back as Nov 2012...! Blame the way Google finds old forum threads (and the fact you didn't realise you could just hop one click to page one and should NEVER read old advice about anything money related). Don't blame the forum - however, of course, we want to help. Our advice is current and can help with court letters or a 'Letter before County Court Claim' - but if you read old advice then Dad's opinion of us isn't particularly fair, seeing as we are the ones who can help you/him unpick this mess...as long as he hasn't been silly enough to ignore court papers and got himself a CCJ already...that's why I want to see the letter.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi coupon mad

Host it on (free to use) Photobucket or Tinypic and copy a broken link (remove the http bit) and we'll convert it so it can be viewed via this thread.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

also bear in mind that no regular on here (me included) is daft enough to give a newbie that we dont know our email addresses , it would take something very compelling for me to give out my email address to anyone on a forum , even parking prankster gets mine from an anon addy , lol

so as mentioned above, use photobucket or tinypic
  • Ok I have put it on photo bucket but it won't let me share the link on here :(
