  • Not sure where you're upto with arthritis but... Our little dog now sadly depArted struggled with his back leg for a while. I gave him a cod liver oil one day (500mg), then a glucosamine & chrondroitin the next and kept the cycle going After about 5-6 days I noticed a huge difference with him so kept it up for about 18months.

Im definately not a natural archer MT, but it was fun! Looking forward to seeing how I am at the end of the course! Hubby was annoyingly quick at picking things up!heehee. Its all very serious and I was very giggly!!

Thanks Shangaijimmy. sorry about your pooch. She is on Yumove which is a glucosamine tablet twice a day, she also has injections every 6months, poor thing has arthritis due to an undiagnosed cruciate injury, she can manage a maximum of an hours gentle walk now before it is too stiff and she will end up limping, going to stick to two shorter walks for her and take the baby dog (he is threeish now, so not really a baby!!) out on his own on longer walks! Might help my weight as well!

Managed to lose four pounds over the last week, sure some of it is water weight, but heres to MFP and a pound by next week!

Yay to weight loss. Well done.

I'm never a natural at things like that, but always end up visiting these types of places with someone who is. It sounds like you both had fun.

    Very similar with me MT!haha.

Have organised for a company to come over on sat to quote for fitted bedroom furniture for our bedroom, it is in the eaves so very awkward shaping. Hubby is hoping that he will be able to fit it himself with my superb supervision skills! Not sure what range the costs will be in, bit nervous!

Have also decided what to paint the spare room, going to go for a bright orange (!!) feature wall and then have a black coloured massive world map sticker put on it, the theme will be travel! Got my eye on those scratch off places as you go maps, will frame it! The idea is travel will happen when we are MF and possibly when we dont have dogs (though mine will live forever obvs), been looking at month long travel across brazil, alaska, canada, russia and the USA so far...want to do it all!!

Exciting plans ahead Jodles. I love the idea of the bright orange wall and the maps.

Hopefully the fitted bedroom furniture quote will be a good one. I love the idea of you supervising! Good luck with that! :D

Well MT the fitted furniture is a no go from BandQ, they dont do custom anymore!! He reckoned it could be from 5k for other companies to do this and advised a couple of local companies...not sure if this is an actual figure based on experience or he was guessing!

Have been looking at getting a nice oak wardrobe and tall chest of drawers, expensive but lovely and should last a long time! I have a gorgeous oak chest of drawers I bought over 5years ago and apart from scratches from the doggies, it is still solid!

Been playing with mortgage calculator and looking at what n@west might offer me at the moment, possibly 2.91% which means our standard payment including OP would be £550, wows! Worked out that on that rate if we could find an extra £500OP a month the mortgage could be gone in 10years...not realistic as promised hubby we would do things for the house which means our left over money in the house account will be for this instead!

Weather is cold and windy today, working up the energy to go out and walk the little dog, big dog will have a play in the garden, she can be difficult with other dogs as she is reactive which means walking them both on my own when other dogs are around can be very difficult! Normally will do early walkies or walkies with hubby to manage this!

Hello Jodles, I assume you're very happy with the mortgage calculator potential repayment amount? Isn't it lovely seeing a potential end date. Although getting things done indoors is also a lovely way to spend any extra income. That way both the mortgage, a little OP and household updates get looked at. A nice balance?

Weather is much nicer here today in Essex, so hopefully you're feeling that benefit too.

  • Hi Jodles,

Thanks for visiting my diary. You have done really well with your overpayments considering your daily interest is eye watering. We had a similar amounts until I re-mortgaged last year. I wish I had chased a better deal and not just stuck with my banks mortgage offer.

Well done on attacking your finances while you are so young. I often wish we had made different choices earlier.

Your diary is a fab read

Hi MT, it has been a bit better weather wise, dont mind the cold its all the rain and ensuing bogs! Hasnt even been that cold either actually, all my trees are blossoming! Will be so pleased if we can get that rate, will mean a big drop in standard payments! Your right, it is a good balance, I would spend all my money on the mortgage and holidays if it wasnt for hubby!

Hey CT, lovely to have you back! It is exciting to see that 0.7%, so close!!

Hello MFD, thank you for coming by and being nice about my diary! Much appreciated! Thank you for the advice and encouragement!

Took little dog for a walk today, drizzly and windy but not cold which is one thing! We covered 4.8miles and I was tired out...looking at a possible 13mile walk for charity in June, just under three times todays walk...wonder if I could hack it!!

Have bought a cool splash paint world map to go in the spare room and an awesome colourful staffie picture for the lounge (my furbabies are staffies), not so good at not spending at all! Building up our house account slowly as we keep dipping in...woops!
