Council tenants from hell moved in next door to my house. Help/Advice needed.!!

My point is that an absent landlord has no power or influence over the process of evicting the problem family. The tenant who has been directly affected may well have.
A LL who simply chooses to ignore a problem that has the potential to destroy their business would be an idiot.
They may not be directly able to get these people evicted, but they can and certainly should be involved in any complaint procedures which their tenant and/or neighbours are pursuing.0 -

In what way?
As above, plus in actively supporting their tenant with their complaint.
So that the tenant doesn't feel the need to move out asap and leave the LL with a void that they might struggle to fill.
Generally speaking, when one wants to run a successful business there is a need to look after your customers and not just take the attitude of nmfp.0 -

Public sector organisations are obliged to pay attention to bad behaviour that may be a form of racial harassment, so perhaps this is something that you can use.
Bear in mind that all police forces are now answerable to an elected police commissioner, so you might care to write to this person to mention that they failed to attend when help was requested.
As for the original incident: if a child puts him/herself at risk of injury through being careless about traffic, then it is a good thing to express anger and frighten the child. Personally I would not do so by swearing but many people seem to need to use swearwords to express themselves emphatically. Complaining to the family was not appropriate: helping to educate the child to use the roads safely was actually the action of a good neighbour.
Finally, I find the term "Council trash" profoundly offensive. These people behave in an anti-social manner, and that is the problem. Many bankers and other wealthy people behave in this way, and are equally unacceptable.
The place where the original incident took place is a set of parking bays at the end of the row of terraced houses so hardly traffic heavy, the lady who threatened my tenants child was speeding up the road towards these parking slots.0 -
My wife and I have decided to sell the house, we were going to do it in the next few years anyway but this has just brought that timescale closer!

The argument that "your unruly tenants are affecting the return on my investment" is unlikely to have much clout.
Who said that this was the argument here? Why do some people always jump to the conclusion that owning a rental property is a lucrative and cut throat business - we just about manage to break even and thats when the property is let! We bought it as something to help us once we retire (which we now have) and hoped that it would go some way to boosting our state pension (as we didnt have a private one). Even if we sold it now, we wouldnt make a profit! There are always two sides to every story!0 -

Since then they have been non stop abusive to everyone in the close, blocking people in and telling them to "eff off" when they knock and ask them to move the car so they can get out. speeding up and down the close too.
They have also threatened to put bricks through our windows and the council trash kids have also said "dont mess with us, we will kill you" to my tenants kids.
The gran of the council trash family was saying "we are the R?:@~>es family dont fu@~ing mess with us"bikingbarney wrote: »My wife and I have decided to sell the house, we were going to do it in the next few years anyway but this has just brought that timescale closer!

Who is going to buy it with that family next door?0 -
Are you going to declare the details of complaints about the neighbours on your seller's form?0

Bantex.
You have me confused with someone else. My house/home was not bought as an investment. We actually lived in the house from when we bought it in 2007 until 2011 when I was posted away with my job in the military. Rather than split my family up we all moved into a married quarter and rented our home out with the intention of moving baxk in when I leave the RAF.
Thanks for your input though.0
