Actually I'm not sure I totally get your last comment. It could be interrupted that you are calling me a bully and bullying me to give me a taste of bullying or you are the bully and I am bullying you to give you a taste of your own medicine.

And the whole point of the thread was for laughs hence all the SPAM earlier on or did that totally pass you by?

Posting one comp from a website is different and may even be done innocently if someone hasn't read all of the MSE rules

The whole point of the original thread about this is that people were clicking the spam button to get threads removed that they 'believed' were self promotion, even when there was no obvious proof (just a newbie posting a comp or other members saying 'SP press spam)

I meant to post that forum guide example on the other thread. Didn't realise there were 2 going. I'll put it on the other one.

I do click the spam button on obvious spam.

I do click the spam button on obvious advertising or self promotion which I believe is done deliberately and cynically.

I do not click the spam button when I am not sure.

I do not click the spam button when I think a user has made a mistake in not reading the rules etc. I report and leave it to the team.

But those cases exist on a bit of a sliding scale I admit.
