Charge for Itemisation

I have a great deal with EE and I'm very happy with their customer service.

However, every month there's a couple of quid over and above the basic charge. I don't know what the extra charges are and I don't want to pay £1.50 a month to find out! I suspect it's a couple of 0845 calls, or sometimes "Orange Wednesdays" at the cinema; I'm not suggesting that the charges aren't due.

What I don't understand is how they can get away with charging me for something that they won't specify unless I pay... that doesn't seem fair and reasonable to me.

Any comments/explanations will be appreciated.

Good luck with that. I haven't been sble to access on-line bills with them for months. I assume they've followed Orange's idea to ensure customers can't view their billd any more. They've beaten their cousins to gaining the ultimate accolade of actually charging custoners to "priorotise" their "customer service" calls though. What an admirable company.

That's not the case, I'm afraid. Full itemisation isn't available on my account - it just invites me to phone 150 and activate fully itemised billing at a cost of £1.50 per month.

But thanks for the reply in any case: I looked online again and found the option to download the bill in pdf format and, although not fully itemised for calls within the contract, the extra charges were itemised.

  • Mine looks very different to that. But I have unlimited inclusive calls and texts (hence me wondering about the extra charges).
