Again, these kids are at it. I'll eat my hat if this is genuine.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!

My own two children come home with sponsorship forms and I have never let them go round the doors. Their grans and aunts donate £1 each and I give them £10 so they take in £17. If the school isn't happy with that then tough (although I have to say the school have never put a minimum on the forms).

I always did something similar except as I'm an only child my son only had myself and my parents on his form!
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10

If children knock on my door for sponsorship they will usually get £1, as long as it is for charity. If it's for a school trip, then surely family and maybe friends can stump up? Children shouldn't be knocking on random doors as a matter of personal safety in the first place.

Mostly we get kids asking for money to fund a certain yearly youth trip to a seaside town, they don't get anything because I won't give money to such a sectarian, sexist, racist, narrow minded (and many other words I can't even think of at this hour) organisation. Which also happens to be a pretty wealthy organisation, not a charity. It's actually scarier that the Dad stands at the end of the drive and probably takes note of which households don't pay up.

Anyway, if those kids were seriously asking for a minimum donation of £30 then it surely can't be right. I donate monthly to various charities but I don't think I've ever handed over £30 to one charity in one go. That's not to say I wouldn't, but it wouldn't be someone at the door (including Christian Aid who subtly demand money on the doorstop every year.)
