Can you come back on BA via LHR?

Helsinki is known for short transfer times but if you have a through ticket, Finnair will have to look after you. Having said that the minimum times shown don't seem to cover your flights of non Schengen to non Schengen:
    Flights within Finland 25–35 minutes
Flights within the Schengen area 35 minutes
Flights from a Schengen area to a non-Schengen area 40 minutes
Charter flight to any other flight 75 minutes
If you are booking directly with the airline, I wouldn't worry, if you are booking through an agency, or worse booking the flights separately, you are probably on your own

    Thanks for your response.

I didn't know about Schengen, so have just done some reading. As Helsinki (Finland) is part of it, does that mean they are committed to speeding things up?

Finnair don't have flights available (I'm looking at July/Aug next year) but external agencies do - and I really need to get it booked. Bit stuck as to what to do!

If you book from a 3rd party, do your research first, there are plenty of dodgy one's out there.

Finnair is a shorter flight time because of their route and Helsinki airport is so small that the minimum connection time is 35mins. If it were me, I'd go with Finnair,

Just checked this on Finnair's website for 3 sept, and the airline give it as a valid connection, plus you'd fly into and out of Terminal 2.

Thanks, did you mean MAXIMUM connection time?

    Probably OK, but...

Before you make a final booking, I suggest you post the name(s) of the agents and someone here will know if they are any good.

If you end up with a through ticket then you will probably make the connection, but if anything goes wrong the airline will give you a hotel and the next flight home. If you book through a dodgy agent and find that you have two different tickets, then if things go wrong you are on your own.

    Thanks for your advice.

The cheapest I have seen the tickets is on Tripsta.co.uk. Are they OK to deal with?

They have flights what I need (Manchester --> Bangkok return, leaving 18/7/15 and returning 12/8/15) for around £1150 for two people.

Annoyingly, they are offering these dates, whereas Finnair aren't at the moment. Do you think if I called Finnair that they'd be able to sell these to me? Would they be cheaper than going through an agent?

Thanks for your responses guys - I really do appreciate it!
